OOH, don't get me into that, which as usual for you, Saucy, is off topic. Let me just say this: Even Chapter 11 bankruptcies cost some people a lot of money, since contractors, workers and others owed money get pennies on the dollar. The very sad truth is that Trump's bankruptcies (and they are his, even if they were of the corporate variety, since he was responsible) have cost many people a lot. Contractors and sub-contractors going out of business, filing for bankruptcy themselves, thousands and thousands of people not getting paid for the stuff they sold Trump or the work they did. Chapter 11 is not a Zero Sum proposition. Trump wins, everyone else loses. Trump is noted for playing games with tax laws, bankruptcy, and the courts so he can have more gold plated fixtures in his homes, planes, and boats.

I don't care if they agree or not. We simply can't do it any more. Some sources say there are as many as between 10 and 20 million illegals in this country. How many of them get food stamps? Welfare? Have jobs and send money back to Mexico? Subsidized housing? Free access to Obamacare and other medical care? The billions we have been giving in aid to sanctuary cities? The cost of public education for all the kids? And yet, don't pay taxes because they are hiding out and working under the table in a lot of cases?

No, I don't hate Trump. I don't anyone, not even you. Some of the people on your list were not billionaires or even millionaires, some were horrible businessmen (Grant?).

If you want to talk about how the 1% the tax code to pay nothing or as little as possible, start a thread about it.

The obvious answer is that Trump uses Chapter 11 and the courts to avoid paying people. He has done it for years. And Trump may pay less income tax than you and me, but we don't know because releasing his tax returns would reveal his duplicity.

And just to let you know, I have had "losses" in some investments, but have never lost money in any one year, never filed bankruptcy, never stiffed anyone who did work for me. I ran a business for 26 years, and made a profit (albeit sometimes small profits) every year. I would be happy to advise Trump if he wants, but he just isn't listening to the right people, so I don't expect he will be calling on me or anyone with expertise to help him.
