I see you have moved the goal posts and refused to read God's word in both Romans and Ephesians.
There is zero need for me to prove I am chosen. God knows and that is sufficient.
God has filled the scriptures with His sovereign choice. The fact that you willfully ignore God's word is much more important. Why do you willfully ignore the fact that God openly tells you He chooses?
I am still waiting for you to explain what God is saying in Romans 9, Ephesians 1 and Ephesians 2. I suspect you will continue to avoid the word of God.
This is irrelevant. Stop moving the goal posts, Ew.
Why not?The ones who didn't come, could not be the ones who came and cast into outer darkness.
If I know I'm saved, I know I'm chosen. And I know I'm saved. Here is the Calvinist problem - none of them know they have been chosen. No one knows if they won the lottery until the numbers are revealed, and they haven't yet.
I'm sure if Judas had believed in Reformed predestination, he would have thought he was a shoo-in for salvation.
You made a statement. If you don't want it challenged, start a blog.Really now? These games you all play are getting a little boring.

No problem.

I've trusted in the finished work of Christ for my salvation. How do you know? Do you know God's mind on predestination of each person?
Judas probably had the same thoughts as you.

That's has nothing to do with your statement on the wedding feast.Sorry Hammster, there is no way to know if you were predestined to eternal life, or foreordained to eternal damnation. Sure, you can have wishful thinking, but wishful thinking does not save anyone.
Again, you avoid the Bible. Until you can share what Romans 9, Ephesians 1 and Ephesians 2 are saying, you have no legitimacy in this conversation. People have addressed everyone of your cherry picked verses, yet you run away from full paragraphs and sections of the Bible that make your argument moot.
The Bible tells us how we can know God's elect by their confession, their actions and their perseverance. I am content with bathing in the waters of God's grace. Can you say the same?

These chapters have been addressed time and time again. No need to bring them up again, for your views on them will be just as the other Calvinists. I would more concerned for your final destiny as you have no say in it and are totally hoping God picked you. You confession, actions, and perseverance have no sway on God's predestination. You will go where God predestines, no matter how theological you may sound. All the confessions, actions, and perseverance will not change God's destiny for you if He choose to ordain you to eternal damnation.
You have chosen your destiny by choosing your beliefs. Nothing you can do to change that. When you can finally admit you have no say in your salvation, you will see your chance of winning the predestination lottery is 50/50. No confession, no actions, and certainly no perseverance will get you to heaven. And not knowing if you are predestined to heaven gives you no reason to question others about their beliefs. All you can do is get on your knees and beg God to choose you.
Nope. We are saying that God has chosen and we respond with eternal gratitude. Thank God for His Sovereignty! That's not what Calvinists believe. They say they you can do NOTHING towards their salvation. You're either chosen for salvation or you are not.
If you say you trusted, then you are putting it in your hands.
Nope. We are saying that God has chosen and we respond with eternal gratitude. Thank God for His Sovereignty!
Do you always judge people and condemn them or is this just a special privilege I'm receiving?Since you do not know His predestination for your life, how is it you think you are responding with gratitude? Predestination is nothing more than hoping you were chosen, and if you were foreordained to eternal condemnation, your gratitude is nothing more than filthy rags. Your gratitude will not change God's mind.
Look Menno, you can't get around with wishful thinking concerning your beliefs. You are in the same boat as Judas. Do you think Judas thought he was saved? Be honest. Did Judas think because he was chosen by the Savior Himself, that maybe he had eternal life? Judas was shown the mysteries of the kingdom. Were you? Judas was personally sent by the Savior to preach the gospel. Were you? Judas was an apostle of the Savior. Are you?
Why do you think you have better chances than Judas to eternal life? How do you know God hasn't chosen you to be a son of perdition? Judas did not know when following Jesus. It was only after Satan entered him that anyone had a hint of his predestination of perdition.
I'm not buying your wishful thinking that you have been predestined to life. If you can prove beyond a reasonable doubt that God chose you for salvation, I will have concerns about your predestination to eternal life.
