  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not true. That position assumes everything but your own part.

Example: If I come across a bicycle and use it for a time and then leave it again where I found it - I know very little...except that I used a bicycle that I didn't make, buy, or have a right to take authority over. That makes me a user - not an authority on bicycles.

Oh, come come. With your hotline to God, you can be an authority on anything.

We understand what you post. Vague balderdash. Pretentious twaddle. Unsupported.

Real tired line from you, dad. You got anything more than denial? If so, why don't you try it? Because this is getting boring.

Easy peasy. They ALL use the same state past belief. Nothing else. Ever. 100%.

That's not an explanation.

I am saying people should not commit fraud and claim a belief is science.

Yeah, science is the stuff that has EVIDENCE. That's the thing I have and you don't.

The ONLT tecnique is the blind belief in the unproven same state past. They use that on everything. One trick pony.

You keep saying this, but you are wrong.

Or to suggest otherwise...so?

So big coincidence. Got it.

If you spray paint a bunch of dolls red, then they all are red.

Of course, the red paint in the past state was still all the same. It's not like the dolls would have been different colours in the past state, but then change to the same colour now.

And likewise, if the results of dating techniques are the same today, they must have had the same ratios in the past.

No, the tremendous pressure of exploding founts of the deep are thought to have resulted in some cases in water and material carried by the water being sent to space.

Thought by who? You? And if the water was coming out with such force, how could any of it have stayed on Earth?

And why would God want to do this with the water anyway if he just wanted to get rid of life on Earth. Was God like, "I want to destroy humanity, because they are evil. Target #1: Mercury!"

There is also the thought that the great wind after the flood may have had some sort of space based origin, and maybe resulted in some ejecta as well?

Yes, of course, outer space is well known for its windiness.

Or the same?

The fact that everything we see matches perfectly with what we would expect to see if they had been the same suggests that they were the same.

False. Only is one biased and willingly embraces tainted evidences.

Oh, more lazy denial. You got anything better than this? Or you just gonna stick with yelling, "Fraid not!" in each post?

Since you are cheerleading so called science blindly here, that is no surprise.

I know and understand more about science than you do.

Huh? I have no idea what you are trying to say here.

If I see a lightbulb and measure its temperature, I can use that temperature along with a knowledge of how rapidly it cools to figure out how long ago the light was on. I know from those results the most recent time that the light was switched on, and how long it has been off and cooling.

What are you trying to illustrate with your bike analogy? There is no clock involved with that (like the cooling of the lightbulb). It makes no sense to me.

Not anymore, because of weak arguments, she was sullied with a gong. There wasn't a lot of choice there.
Reality check! The  is only one way. It can't create reality, only  it away. But then again the  can  away the fact that it can't create reality, and all is good! That's what is so much fun about The HI Theory.

You have no understanding of what I'm actually saying, do you?

(I suspect that you will reply by saying you do understand, and then post some unsupported denial.)
Understanding is not a prerequisite of The HI Theory.

And then.
How can you tell what laws such as thermodynamics were then? Tell us how we can tell if there was Hafnium-182 at creation? Tungsten? Now I sure hope you do not 'determine' how much of these sorts of things existed at creation and afterward early in earth history by looking at the relation of ratios of neutrons and protons now!

You see that would only tell us you believe that the radioactive decay that now happens also was responsible for it all then.

"
hers figured this out by measuring the variations of the abundance of the isotope of tungsten in these rocks (isotopes are versions of an element in which the number of neutrons in each atom differs from the number of protons). They measured tungsten because it contains one isotope of mass 182 that is created when an isotope of the element hafnium undergoes radioactive decay, meaning its elemental composition changes as it gives off radiation. Hafnium-182 only existed during Earth’s first 50 million years. The time it takes for half of any quantity of hafnium-182 to decay into tungsten-182 is 9 million years."

The team determined that the basalts from Baffin Island and the Ontong Java Plateau contain slightly more tungsten-182 than other young volcanic rocks. Because all the hafnium-182 decayed to tungsten-182 early in our planet's history, these findings indicate that the mantle material that melted to form the flood basalt rocks that the team studied originally had more hafnium than the rest of the mantle.
