I did not get the impression that you were throwing a pity party, personally, @Travelers.Soul, for what it is worth. I am sure that I would find you to be a pretty lady myself, anyway. But hey, their loss if they do not, right? (You are correct in surmising that we men tend to be more visually responsive creatures, and so yes, physical appearance is usually important to us. I have to admit that.)

No, I am not a burn victim. IF I was willing to date a non-Christian I wouldn't have a problem but I won't date a guy who isn't a Christian. I am sure some Christian guy, somewhere out there would be interested.

No it is not that you are afraid to commit but it is you knowing deep down that you are meant for somebody specific and that person has not yet entered your life. It is kind of like this, there was once a beautiful lady who was dating lots of knights in her kingdom and they were very handsome and brave but she could not figure out why she could not commit to any of them. Then one day after many years of dating she met a handsome Prince and after a very short time of dating he swept her off her feet because she understood that he was meant to be and the other great men before were not meant to be and she was so grateful that she was picky before or her and her Prince who would later be King would have never met. In the end she met her destiny of becoming the Queen and she lived happily ever after.

This is really beautiful, it made me smile.

I would like a person not to be interested in me just for my looks because, it seems that the men i dated, well some of them, only liked me cos i look asian. Which is really superficial. They would constantly go on about what i looked like and never really touch on anything deeper.

I am not a china doll.

God doesnt see me that way, He looks on my heart. Ive learned not to wear my heart on my sleeve and then be disappointed that it be so easily sullied. If you going to be married, you got to be in it for the long haul..i,e until you die! So will someone still love me when im old and grey? Or will they still expect me to be like a china doll that never grows up.

I was once asked that hostile question at a job interview for a New Testament position at the University of Toronto. I knew they were obviously trying to find out if I was gay. So the conversation went like this: "Are you married?" "No." "Why not?" "Because no one one would have me! First, there was Mary. Do you want to hear about Mary?" The search committee laughed, and we moved on to other questions. I took a professor position at an American university instead.

I am terribly uninteresting. I like to stay at home and read rather than to go out and do things. I can cook better food at home than I can get in a restaurant. I don't get down on new movies or music. I'm rather dull and unexciting.
