Why are you Single?

Well, since I'm so ornery and snappy tonight, I may as well just double post.

I'm single because I have too many issues to ever sort out, and I'm not interested enough in what a woman could offer to bother dealing with them. I didn't like my own mother; I barely tolerated either of the women I made the mistake of marrying, and by and large I'd rather throw rocks at women than to interact with them. On here, I pretend the females aren't women - I dehumanize them so I can respond to them without having a bout of Tourette's on my keyboard.

I don't know you, but I think many men fall into a trap with women because they act like a nice guy and let women walk all over them. And there is a certain act of desperation, so they'll try to appease to keep the woman along. Not knowing what a turn off that can be for a woman, and that respect they're trying to get by being nice is actually hurting them.

Not saying this describes you, just throwing that out there.

I am single because I personally believe I am not ready for a relationship yet, and God is preparing me for one by grounding myself in Him so we have a strong relationship.

You could probably find them online, even. I know that isn't a good way to go but you could quite possibly find a nice Christian girl nearby, or end up forming a relationship with her and something great happening. That seems to be my daydream. :/ (Only in this instance it's a man, lol)

Ah... I dabbled in that stuff a little, but it never got too far.

That, and... some of the responses were a bit much: for example, a gal accused me of lying and trying to come off as 'too perfect' (ha... me, 'too perfect'!), and when I explained that I recognized my flaws but was describing who I am in principle (I don't recall it being idealistic, but she did), she told me to change my profile, and then she shut me off from future conversation.

Haha, nooo, not here! I'm new to this place. It was on one of those sites where you may have the opportunity to meet someone new and interesting, but there are too many people there with less than pure intentions... once I realized that, I stopped going to it.

Ugh. I'm sorry that happened to you. If I were to meet anyone on the internet, I would prefer it be on here. Not likely, of course, but it can still happen. I've seen it happen pleeeenty of times, haha. But, this isn't a dating website; it is a place for Christian's, or people considering Christianity, to connect.
