I remember seeing a few women like that back in the late 1960s. It was quite the rage in Europe. It even caught on here with some hippies.

About the same time I had an english teacher in high school (Mrs Schick - really!) who was in her 50s and had shaved her legs from the knees down for decades, but not above. So then came the popular mini-skirts. And she just HAD to wear one, which revealed decades of hair growth above the knees.

Are you really asking this? :)
In hind sight, this was an unnecessary comment.
Because it is about vanity of course, not about shaving.
I think it's not a sin to make an effort to look your best.
It is different when your goal is to be seductive and trigger the hormones of others.

The person you are about to shave.
The person you want to be shaved by. :)
Lol! I thought it was possible you meant that. Always have a safe word too. Mine is pickles.

The hormones of others are not our responsibility. They are solely the responsibility of the person with the triggered hormones. Besides, for every thousand people you'll see a thousand different triggers. Are you catering to them all?

How do you accommodate the myriad of different triggers? How do you protect from themselves the foot fetishist, and the hair fetishist, and the fat fetishist, and the tall fetishist, and the hand fetishist, and those who are triggered by ultra conservative clothing?

The hormones of others are not our responsibility.
Why, are you triggering them daily, but you don want to acknowledge you are? :)
I guess not...
But i think you know what i mean though, but pretend you don;t.
I could be wrong of course.

Am I triggering other peoples' hormones on a daily basis? Doubtful at my age.

And as a matter of fact, I don't know what you mean at all. That's why I asked. It seems bizarre to me that you feel we're each responsible for the private, internal functions or dysfunctions of every human within our orbit.

to sin is to miss the mark who is God.

though I like to vouch for that which is naturally occurring such as hair that grows... 'shaving your hair' being sinful is not the main problem if it is indeed a problem. such petty things, if they are sin, are the results of a deeper condition of the real sins of not being good and not seeking God.

there have been Christian teachers that criticized the romans for shaving their beards but he was criticizing them for their vanity and evil that they did of which the beard shaving was a kind of sign of the result of the things they were concerned over and of that which they were not concerned for.

Why would shaving ever be a sin in the first place? I don't understand...
Leviticus 21:5 They shall not make any baldness on their heads, nor shave off the edges of their beards, nor make any cuts in their flesh.

Ahhh, Leviticus. This book always has some good ethical advice for us. Let´s collect some more quotes.

When I grow out leg and armpit hair I feel manly, so is it wrong to shave it?

That strikes me as more a matter for local customs than anything else. In some places people might be offended, but I don't think that you necessarily have to be concerned about that.

Why would it be wrong? Body hair isn't a moral issue. Grow it out, shave it. Do what you want.

It's just unhealthy to believe that your natural self is inadequate or 'ugly'. You're pandering to dysfunction on the part of others in doing so. If others cannot cope with the natural human form, that's THEIR problem, not yours. You don't need to accommodate them. In fact you're doing them a disservice by trying to, because you're enabling.

If I had married a man who was so unsure of his masculinity that female armpit hair rendered him impotent, I'd have insisted on growing mine as long as possible to help him grow out of such fears. Having said that, I would never have married a man who insisted I look like a child.
