Well yes.

He will be punished. Oh yes,...he will.
Oh my....I'm kind of surprised Mojo didn't try to use the cover of that panned movie Old-Fashioned from last year to feature William and Miss Ireland, instead.![]()
Oh my....
I didn't know there was such a movie, I just looked it up.
Well, to be honest, I am not as big a fan of this "love story" as I thought I might be. I mean, in anything, the movie plays off the main guy as chivalrous, and yet, there's a part in the movie where he makes the main girl stand outside in the cold while he's in her house fixing her stuff. I mean, I know and understand why he did it, but nevertheless, I would not call doing that to a woman chivalrous. There's some other stuff too that I think ended up painting chivalry and old-fashionedness in a bad light to those who know only today's more liberal culture of romance. The main problem was that, just like you'd expect with most Christian-made movies, the guy who directed the movie (also the actor playing the main guy) was so obviously just pandering too much to a certain crowd. And his character just ended up looking ... well ... kind of like a jerk in his own way - like the opposite, undesirable extreme of Christian Grey. (Although don't get me wrong; I would still watch this movie again over even trying to take a first-time gander at 50 Shades of Grey.)
... Not that I am trying to insinuate anything wrong about William67 in saying that.Just the old-fashioned part in general made me think of what you two would be like if you started dating.
Yikes, yeah that wasn't a very nice move. Goodness, just have the woman wait in a different room or something. Well, I'm going to see if I can find it just to watch it.
Well, that, and the fact that on their first date he took the main girl to a lady friend's (or his ex's, I can't remember) house to have her chop up the food of the child the friend/ex belonged to. ... I guess to see if she would be good mother material in his eyes or not, because they were both reading this book the main guy's pastor/counselor gave them that ask personal questions of one another to see if they are compatible in a traditionally Christian way (and I just don't think the majority of those questions are what you ask on a first date). I got kind of a sexist vibe off of that scene with the "let's see if you can do this task of carving up baby food in such a doting, caring way as to show me you'll be a good mommy", not to mention that ... well ... that's kind of a really weird first date, period.
To each their own, I guess. I mean, obviously the main girl was fine with the ... shall we say, unconventional, way this dude approached a romance with her, considering she got together with him in the end.
I'm surprised anyone else has seen that movie. I watched it with my family and I came away with the same impression about it and the main character. Perhaps he was trying to fit into a certain box but his motives seemed really off.Well, to be honest, I am not as big a fan of this "love story" as I thought I might be.
