The last thing I heard is that there are employees of Homeland Security who are on the Terrorist/No Fly Lists, you can't make stuff like this up...

You mean the two FBI antiterrorism analysts who went on Hajj in Mecca?

I'm not worried... remember, it's the responsibility of moderate Christians to keep the radicals in line...

I thought personal responsibility was the hallmark of our secular humanist society?

i fear an even more painful 'lesson' will be given if anyone is foolish enough to attempt to interfere with the rights under the first 10 amendments.

i pray that this 'lesson' does not have to happen so that those responsible for attempting to subjugate the
American Peoples into bondage will not be put against a wall to 'pose for rifle fire' if they're fortunate, or something worse if they're not.

Why do you hate America?

I thought demanding an entire religion apologize and monitor the actions of its most unhinged members was the hallmark of the American Right?

What resolution would you propose? CA already has strict gun ownership laws and this site was in a gun free zone. Probably one of the safest places government can provide by passing legislation.

How about we treat Christians and Muslims the same, and treat gun-toting wackjobs as gun-toting wackjobs regardless of which magic man in the sky they believe in?

That comment is intended to belittle Christianity by your "magic man in the sky" garbage. You are showing that you really have no interest in learning about what Christians believe but more about degrading religious people. That type of comment has no place on CF.

Belittling is a matter of perspective -- consider it equalizing. I disbelieve Christianity and Islam equally.

Thank you for verifying that such an attitude is not accepted... I was beginning to suspect there was a difference.

You are showing that you really have no interest in learning about what Christians believe but more about degrading religious people.

As I said, I consider Christianity and Islam to be on equal footing regarding the matters at hand... and I give little credence to either.

You seem surprised.

That type of comment has no place on CF.

I suppose someday it'll have no place in the US... then, no matter who says it, the terrorists win.

Actually, you do not have to be a Christian to post in this part of Christian Forums. You have to be a Christian to post in the Theology and Edification sections.

I am a Christian, but TLK Valentine has a point. Many Christians are willing to hold all Muslims accountable for what some Muslims do, even though many Muslims have been making it clear that they abhor what ISIS is doing. However, when a Christian does something horrible (like shooting a lot of people at Planned Parenthood), we don't believe all Christians should be held accountable for it and say it is not fair to judge all Christians by the actions of a few. Talk about a double standard. A Christian teaching is that we should treat others the way we would want to be treated. Jesus told the parable of the Good Samaritan, and the Jews hated the Samaritans. I wonder if He wouldn't have told this same parable about a Good Muslim. There are many Muslims who are very good people. I don't like it when people judge all Christians by the Westboro Baptist Church members because most Christians aren't like that. To judge all Muslims by ISIS and other extremist Muslims is just as unfair. I don't agree with what the Muslim faith teaches at all, but that doesn't justify thinking that all Muslims are terrorists and extremists.

Perhaps you'd best extend and revise your remarks.

In particular, explain how you reached that conclusion from what you quoted.

Anyone who would threaten to murder a fellow American for exercising their rights under the constitution to participate in our form of government would strike me as someone who does not love their country. Do you disagree? Do you feel that threatening to murder people who exercise their right to representative democracy guaranteed in our founding document is a patriotic act?

The liberals were quick to blame conservative Christians, Republicans, and others on the right for the carnage in the Colorado Planned Parenthood clinic. It turns out the killer was a paranoid pothead who probably moved to Colorado because it offered him plenty of legal weed. The murders were just the latest example of President Obama’s pro-pot policies causing “active shooter” cases in which innocent people get maimed and killed.

While “progressives” hope to capitalize on the killings by stopping investigations into Planned Parenthood, the case of Robert Lewis Dear has backfired on them in more ways than one. Dear, who looks stoned out of his mind in his mugshot, looks like another case of a cold-blooded killer whose actions may be attributed to his heavy use of a substance that many progressives deem harmless and safe.

A wackjob is a wackjob so it doesn't matter what they are carrying, knife, gun, pitchfork or a spork...

You are right. There are good Muslims. In Iraq I met quite a many who wanted to build a better society. Sadly they are marginalized or were killed.
