Why? He admits that he is a pagan.
Sorry, that was an attempt at humor. The Christine O'Donnell "I am not a witch" ad.

I apologize for not recognizing it as such.Sorry, that was an attempt at humor. The Christine O'Donnell "I am not a witch" ad.
I simply answered a direct question from someone since they asked. You seem to be under a few assumptions that I never addressed one way or the other. I never made any post judging the man for goat killing and drinking blood. Yes, I think it's weird and I disagree with it. No, I wouldn't actually let it get in the way of voting for someone if I agreed with their politics.
Anyway, I don't believe in 'memorial' only Eucharist. We don't simply spiritualize it- we believe it literally. The reason we partake of the body and blood of Christ is because, according to the Orthodox Christian belief, it is the medicine for what ails us/the fountain of immortality/we literally have Christ in us. Christ went on at length as to why in the New Testament. We don't partake of any other blood because it is considered that life is in the blood (it's still in the Church canons as well). Everything the Christian does relates back to the Eucharist. Through partaking of the Eucharist we are in Christ- and it is only through Christ that we will live. We don't partake of something that would bring us out of communion.
ETA: Some people on this thread ask questions about Christian beliefs, obviously don't know much about the Christian beliefs, but then will de-facto attack the Christian beliefs and reasoning even before the Christians come back to explain said beliefs. My personal guess is because it is always 'attack Christianity day' with some posters here at CF. It's always nice to see them reveal themselves for who they are.
Sounds a bit unhygenic, but I'm not sure what it would have to do with his qualifications for senate.I don't have a problem with his drinking blood, but from a goat? Really? Goats are about the nastiest animals that aren't actual denizens of the local swamp.
Then again, that's about the least troubling thing I've read about the guy.
I am a Christian and don't see why it's a big deal.Same. I don't know why it's a big deal unless you're Christian or something.
No, those two things are substantially different. It's one thing to disagree with Christianity and dislike the ideology, but to say it is worthy of hatred is downright insulting and. Rey close to saying that it's adherents are worthy of hatred.
Can't speak for anyone else, but as someone who was in the church for a good amount of my adult years, I can tell you that I fell away because of the failure of what were supposed to be my brothers and sisters to follow the gospel. All I'd want to see is an adherence to of what it was that Jesus said.I'm not judging you. I'm asking that you tell us what needs to happen, since you seem to have some idea about "fixing the system" that has hurt and abused you in whatever way. Please, enlighten us as to what we are to do. Perhaps you have some good ideas, but right now you're just reading as angry and spiteful for things that nobody here has actually done (unless your abusers are among the posters, which seems unlikely; based on how you're describing Christianity, I kind of doubt you grew up Coptic Orthodox, for instance).
Puppies suck. Kittens rule.(Reads staff warnings, wants to help lift the mood of this thread)
*Ahem* Everyone needs to lighten up. Here, I'll go first.
I like puppies. I admit it. I always have. I'm a shameless puppyholic, and I am declaring it before this forum and the world.
Okay, guys. Your turn.
