I don't give a womp rat's behind what you're doing in college... I went to a bible college too and I spent most of my life obsessing over that book too and a very large portion of atheists come out of Christianity and statisticly speaking atheists know more about religions in general than any religious group except the mormons.

You probably do know somethings I didn't study and that I have forgot but that in no way provides that I do not have a decent handle on Christianity in general and I do especially when I can quote plenty of scriptures to back up my claims and I can definitely back up the ones I made to you before.

I am not wrong about Christianity, you merely have a different position on the same scriptures and themes.

I do not care that you have been in a Bible college because christianity isn't the Bible, what comforts me if you studied the Bible when the Bible isn't anything compared to the Church? You don't know patristics, apophatic theology, cataphatic theology, Church history, you don't know anything and you come here to say that you know christianity and that you are an atheist when the only thing you have done is to (barely) read some verses of a book called "Bible" and to missinterpret them from what others told you because you cannot think by yourself.

Yes, it is a very sad situation when unbelieving professors -- particularly those claiming to be Christians -- undermine the faith of many naive students and attack the Bible and its Divine inspiration. At the same time, the whole point of going to college is to learn how to learn, and one of the principles of learning is to carefully examine the biases of those who teach and pretend to know it all. But when the whole culture is anti-Christian and anti-spiritual, it is easy to succumb to what everyone else believes.

The fact of the matter is that anyone who seriously takes up the study of Scripture will conclude that it indeed an amazing book speaking of amazing things which are primarily supernatural. The reason people run away from the Bible and run to Atheism is because deep down they DO NOT WANT THE TRUTH -- about God, about themselves, and about the Savior.

I can't speak for all professors but they can certainly have sincere faith in God yet take the Bible for what it is. I have faith yet I can see the Bible is what one should expect all things considered.

Do you suggest that animals really do talk to people and that virgins really do have children and god really did have women raped burned and murdered? It is very simple why people reject the bible as untrue.

If you accept that donkeys can talk and virgins can have children and that god condones humans being raped, burned alive and murdered that's fine but surly you appreciate why other people do not believe in it. It is obvious why they would not.

That is highly debatable, but what should really concern an Atheist is why he should even be bothered with issues such as logic and morality. Since Atheism is illogical, and morality comes from God, ideally the Atheist should be totally neutral about these matters.

Atheism is completely logical and morality comes from biology, not from a god, much less from the Christian god who did the very worst things.

"Stories" is the key word here.

Sorry, but from within the story...you could not possibly perceive the actual reality (unless you come to know the Author). What you believe is real, is not, but was "created" (made up) to demonstrate the many aspects of the greatest story ever told.
