Are you still under the Mosaic Law? All 600+ provisions of it?
God does not change, but His relationship with people does. We are under a better covenant with better promises from that of David. In addition, as I've already said, Israel is a unique nation of which God explicitly defined physical boundaries. If we were Jews in Israel under the Mosaic Covenant, that argument would be valid. But we aren't, so it's not.
Now we are not under the law meaning there is no more penalty for breaking the law. Sin where is your victory? what gave sin its power was the law and death it required, but the death has been paid, but not one letter of the law has passed away. Jesus said do not think I can to abolish the Law but to fulfill it. The law is still relevant. The people miss understood the Law, while it is true Jew and gentile were under different laws. It does not change the fact that God uses people to punish others. David carrying a weapon is relevant. God does not change, God did not change His relationship to us either it still build on love mercy and grace, God just brought us closer to Him. Would you have us throw out The OT? DO you say the OT does not matter any more? Are you attempting to take away over half of God's word and make it null and void? If so I think you gravely misunderstand.
