Hovind had faced trial in March on charges of contempt of court, mail fraud and conspiracy related to actions he took with respect to property seized by the government as the result of his 2006 conviction.
The jury did not reach a verdict on the fraud and conspiracy charges thanks to the persistence of jury foreman Don Camacho, but, in a sort of compromise, found Hovind guilty of contempt of court.
Hardly tax evasion. Also, many believe they went after him because he was exposing the TOE for what it is ..... a total farce.
