Well played. BTW, what clues that he has shown you?

As funny as it is to think of Mach as a paid operative, I really think he was posting of his own free will.

A "hater" is one who does not bow to the views and politics of the person who is calling the name. It's interesting that I only see one "side" designating others as haters.
It is not those being hated that are the problem, but those who are doing the hating.

Oh I don't think that Mach was a paid operative just someone who was amazingly good at taking what was a good thread and destroying it.

I mess his tap dancing schematics, though.
I don't, I can't tell you how many threads with really good thread went from people discussing the subject to discussing the off topic tangents he brought to the thread. It got to the point that I would just unsub from threads once I saw he was posting in it.

I actually have a blast here at least 50% of the time. I put the people who set out to deliberately flame and goad on ignore and focus on the people who are interesting, informative, and capable of having a real discussion. Mostly they are from "my" party, which is inevitable,

I find the discussions I enjoy the most are the ones I have with people who are opposed to my view but still a reasonable discussion partner.

I don't believe that anyone's getting paid to attend a Christian forum to argue about politics. It's just too silly to be true.

Given the amount of money spent on political campaigns I don't see why.

Politics is about getting a message out, so if they aren't paying people to present the message to online forums in general, they are probably doing it wrong.

grasping the after wind said:
I can only go by what I see here. It is IMO entirely impossible to believe that anyone could ever honestly be as 100% exactly behind everything a political party or personage does without being paid to parrot the party line. No one is that completely in tune with another person and surely not with a political party's stance on every issue, They tend to rely on quoting the same statistics, using the exact same phrasing and parrotting the same cliches and buzz words that the party paying them has provided while just simply ignoring any evidence given that is contrary to their talking points and only ever attacking the opposing person or that person's sources but never actually addressing the issues brought up by the person they attack.

The problem of course is that it is quite likely that people can just be basic party hacks.

Someone who religiously listens to Rush Limbaugh or spends all their time at WND or Alternet is going to sound a lot like a party hack.

It is not those being hated that are the problem, but those who are doing the hating.
What in your opinion is "hating" but what in the opinion of others is simply holding to their own opinion and stating it firmly.

I would agree.

Some are motivated just to stir things up and they get enjoyment out of it. They also enjoy ticking people off and then reporting them.

Kind of like a damage control :tutu: doctor.

Yeah I can see that.

I completely lost any and all patience for the man when he took a story about ... I don't remember the exact story, but it involved the sexual assault of children, and he made sure to point out that the politician involved was a democrat. Because when we are discussing people who harm children their political affiliation is totes important.

It was a beyond grotesque.
