  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lasciviousness means “license to sin.” It could also be defined as “unrestrained liberty” or “abuse of privilege.” In essence, this meant license to do what seems right in one’s own eyes, according to one’s own conscience.

I'm sorry, but I actually get my formal lessons in Christianity only from spirit-filled Christians who have a master's degree from an internationally authorized and hypnotized accredited seminary with more than 802 hours of missionary service in more than 50 countries while carrying a total, combined grade point average of 6.77

Do you have those qualifications before we begin our lesson?

The other thing that may prove to be a problem is that excessively viewing the symbol of the ampersand gives me migraine headaches which may defeat the entire purpose.

I think we've found the problem. Your definition of grace is wrong. No one is saying that Jesus' sacrifice and perfect life is not enough. Grace is nothing without those.

Grace—The True Definition
Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary defines grace as “favor, kindness and mercy.” The ecclesiastical usage is defined as “divine mercy and forgiveness.” No mention is made about grace being license to disobey God’s law. To be “under grace” means to be extended mercy and forgiveness as a result of sincere repentance and resolve to obey God.
This is explained further in Roman 6:14-15: “For sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.” Many misunderstand the concept of “under the law,” which means under the penalty of the law. Notice Galatians 5:18: “But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” You are under the penalty of the law if you violate it as a way of life.

This is all factual statement.
Point out one of my statement as an assumed perception.
I'm not theorizing as any one would to assume they can sin and be forgiven with out actually repenting,
I've given factual and biblical proof its you who have not understood after hearing!
Jesus speaks clearly about those who hear but don't understand it's not stupidity it's the flesh. According to scripture.

That's the same grace that everyone else is talking about. So why keep going on and on about this sinlessness-or-nothing soteriology of yours?

Even before the New Testament was completely written, ungodly men had crept into the Church in an attempt to corrupt it by turning grace into lasciviousness. This was precisely the false gospel taught by Simon Magus, Nicholas of Samaria, Cerinthus and other “founders” of counterfeit Christianity.

hmm got scripture rather than speculation. why did Jesus come if we can be saved by the law. why is the new covenant even more glorious and the ministry of death fading?

Simon the Sorcerer or Simon the Magician, in Latin Simon Magus, was a Samaritan magus or religiousfigure and a convert to Christianity, baptised by Philip the Evangelist, whose later confrontation with Peter is recorded in Acts 8:9–24. Wikipedia

Now what is wager sin?

We've already heard about willful sin, which is not even in the bible.

I don't think wager sin is in the bible either.

I thought we were talking about what is in the bible? Not words that are not in the bible.

Why were Christians baptizing Simon Magus so he can teach a false gospel and counterfeit Christianity? Was Simon saved or not saved? Why would a convert to Christianity teach counterfeit Christianity? Is the guy who baptized him in heaven or not? Did Jesus forgive him because he sinned and brought a false profit?

Why would anyone do that or baptize him so he could do that?

the New Testament teaching on “law and grace”? Is it one or the other—law versus grace—or both—law and grace? This is a subject of great confusion!
Romans speaks of this confusion 3:25-4:25
It was the blood / faith gives us righteousness which gives grace / favor in gods eyes which gives you the will / desire to follow the law
According to Romans anyway
And is what I believe about the law vs grace

Rennet those tools

You mentioned you use to see the truth

I spoke of men who intentionally tried to change grace into something it is not.
This is as only found in the bible :)

Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints. For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ. But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one: To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God. And to him they had regard, because that of long time he had bewitched them with sorceries. But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women. Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John: Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost: (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost. And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost. But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee. For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity. Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me. And they, when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, returned to Jerusalem, and preached the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans. Acts 8 The Scriptures (ISR 1998)

9Now there was a certain man called Shim‛on, who formerly was practising magic in the city and astonishing the people of Shomeron, claiming to be someone great,

10to whom they all were giving heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This one is the power of Elohim, which is great.”

11And they were giving heed to him because for a long time he had amazed them with his magic.

12And when they believed Philip as he brought the Good News about the reign of Elohim and the Name of יהושע Messiah, both men and women were immersed.

13And Shim‛on himself also believed. And when he was immersed he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which took place.

14And when the emissaries who were at Yerushalayim heard that Shomeron had received the Word of Elohim, they sent Kĕpha and Yoḥanan to them,

15who, when they had come down, prayed for them to receive the Set-apart Spirit,

16for He had not yet fallen on any of them, but they had only been immersed in the Name of the Master יהושע.

17Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Set-apart Spirit.

18And Shim‛on, seeing that through the laying on of the hands of the emissaries the Set-apart Spirit was given, he offered them money,

19saying, “Give me this authority too, so that anyone I lay hands on shall receive the Set-apart Spirit.”

20But Kĕpha said to him, “Let your silver perish with you, because you thought to buy the gift of Elohim through money!

21“You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before Elohim.

22“Repent therefore of this evil of yours, and plead with Elohim to forgive you the intention of your heart.

23“For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by unrighteousness.”

24But Shim‛on answering, said, “Plead with the Master for me, so that none of what you had said shall come upon me.”

25Then after they had earnestly witnessed and spoken the Word of יהוה, they returned to Yerushalayim, bringing the Good News in many villages of the Shomeronites.

HalleluYAH .
