Jesus Himself said that the Sabbath was made for man/all men. Mar 2:27. Or is it that you do not accept the text as saying so?

What is the context of this passage? Jesus's disciples broke Sabbath Law just before saying that, and the verse after that says Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. Man was not made to serve the Sabbath, as Mark 2:27 says, but the Sabbath given as a sign for men. Which men? You claim all, but Scripture claims otherwise.

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “But as for you, speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘You shall surely observe My sabbaths; for this is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. Therefore you are to observe the sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there is a sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall surely be put to death. So the sons of Israel shall observe the sabbath, to celebrate the sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.’ It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed.” - Exodus 31:12-17

So who is the Sabbath for? It seems clear it is for the sons of Israel. Who is told to keep it? The sons of Israel. What is the penalty for not keeping it? Death

Do you advocate as strongly for the death of those who work on Saturday as you do that Christians must keep the Sabbath? I fail to see how you can have one part without the other. It is the Law...

No, Jesus didn't say anything about "all men" according to Mark 2:27 or anything else. Is it your assertion that Jesus sought to violate the Law specifying who the Sabbath held jurisdiction over?

Jesus will execute the death penalty, for the wages for sin [1 John 3:4] is 2nd Death, for Jesus is the LORD of the Sabbath and is the one without sin.

See John 14:15, and read it together with Exodus 20:6. What Commandments then is Jesus specifically referring to?

Turn to Isaiah 56, and read vs 1 and then vs 8. Who is it speaking of? Hint, turn to John 10:16 and then turn to the Crucifixion of Jesus. now go back and read Isaiah 56:2-7 in its proper context, and ask your self what "covenant" is being spoken of there.
Isaiah 56:1 KJV - Thus saith the LORD, Keep ye judgment, and do justice: for my salvation [is] near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

Isaiah 56:2 KJV - Blessed [is] the man [that] doeth this, and the son of man [that] layeth hold on it; that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and keepeth his hand from doing any evil.

Isaiah 56:3 KJV - Neither let the son of the stranger, that hath joined himself to the LORD, speak, saying, The LORD hath utterly separated me from his people: neither let the eunuch say, Behold, I [am] a dry tree.

Isaiah 56:4 KJV - For thus saith the LORD unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths, and choose [the things] that please me, and take hold of my covenant;

Isaiah 56:5 KJV - Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a name better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

Isaiah 56:6 KJV - Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the name of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant;

Isaiah 56:7 KJV - Even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices [shall be] accepted upon mine altar; for mine house shall be called an house of prayer for all people.

Isaiah 56:8 KJV - The Lord GOD which gathereth the outcasts of Israel saith, Yet will I gather [others] to him, beside those that are gathered unto him.

John 10:16 KJV - And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, [and] one shepherd.
Now turn to Isaiah 8:14,15, and tell me who it is speaking of according to the New Testament in these verses, Romans 9:33; 1 Peter 2:8, etc, then turn back to Isaiah 8:18 [My children], and turn to Hosea 11:1 [Israel my Son]; Matthew 2:15 [My Son out of Egypt]; Hebrews 2:10 [many sons unto glory, thus His children], and then turn to Exodus 31:16, and ask yourself who is Israel then, and who are His children, and what are they to do? Then turn back to Isaiah 8:15, and read it again, and again ask who is this speaking of, and then read one more verse Isaiah 8:16, and then ask yourself, whose "Disciples" and then what "Law" and what "Testimony" was to be "sealed" among them? Now turn to Jeremiah 31:31-34, and ask what "My Law" was to be written upon the heart, just read through Jeremiah to see.
Isaiah 8:14 KJV - And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Isaiah 8:15 KJV - And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

Isaiah 8:16 KJV - Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

Isaiah 8:17 KJV - And I will wait upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him.

Isaiah 8:18 KJV - Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me [are] for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.

Isaiah 8:20 KJV - To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.

Romans 9:33 KJV - As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

1 Peter 2:8 KJV - And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, [even to them] which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

Hosea 11:1 KJV - When Israel [was] a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt.

Matthew 2:15 KJV - And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.

Hebrews 2:10 KJV - For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom [are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.

Exodus 31:13 KJV - Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it [is] a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that [ye] may know that I [am] the LORD that doth sanctify you.

Exodus 31:14 KJV - Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it [is] holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth [any] work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

Exodus 31:15 KJV - Six days may work be done; but in the seventh [is] the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth [any] work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

Exodus 31:16 KJV - Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, [for] a perpetual covenant.

Exodus 31:17 KJV - It [is] a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.
There are many others, and especially from the NT itself. Let me know, if you would like them.

Read John 15:10 and say the same thing. Jesus is not referring to the 10 Cs. John 1:17 even says Jesus did not bring the law and I would say it also includes teach the law. Evidence is easily found in the Sermon on the Mount.

No, Jesus didn't say anything about "all men" according to Mark 2:27 or anything else. Is it your assertion that Jesus sought to violate the Law specifying who the Sabbath held jurisdiction over?
When "man" is used in the bible as done here it always mean all men.
There is no indication that the law was for Jews only. God said the opposite in many passages including the following. Num. 15:
15 One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord.
16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.

Read John 15:10 and say the same thing. Jesus is not referring to the 10 Cs. John 1:17 even says Jesus did not bring the law and I would say it also includes teach the law. Evidence is easily found in the Sermon on the Mount.
What amazes me is the total ignoring of what was presented and not actually dealing with the prophetic texts http://www.christianforums.com/t7858297-43/#post66874636

Q. When will you address those texts presented therein?

Love is not mere sentimentalism, it is obedience to the will of God. Will ye now say that the Morality that Jesus abided by is different than the Morality we are to abide by? Romans 7:14, John 10:30.
John 15:10 KJB If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
Q. Why do we need an Advocate/Mediator with the Father? If you say sin, and because of transgression of a law, which Law of the Father's then have you broken, if you were never supposed to be under them? If you broke a so-called differing set of Morality from the Son, wherein then is your Advocate/Mediator with Him?

If as you are saying that the Ten Commandments came from the Father only, and were for Christ to obey, and that Jesus has another Morality for us to obey, what then happens when you transgress that Morality of Jesus, with what Advocate do you then have with Him?

The context of John 15:10 is:
John 15:4 KJB Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

John 15:12 KJB This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Thus, Jesus gave us the perfect example, for He is without sin, and in Him is no sin [and if you are to abide in Him, you also must cease from sin by Him], and so we must "walk even as he walked" 1 John 2:6. In 1 John 5:2,3, allow me to ask you which person of the Godhead is this speak of, and thus whose "Commandments" then, in your theology is this the Father's Commandments, or the Sons'?:
1 John 5:2 KJV - By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1 John 5:3 KJV - For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.
Next:
John 1:17 KJB For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.
God spoke/wrote the Ten Commandments, even as Truth came by Jesus Christ:
Psalms 119:142 KJB Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.

Psalms 119:151 KJB Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
All in the vain attempt to rid yourself of the one commandment which Jesus gave for rest - Exodus 20:8-11.

When He said, "Come unto me... I will give you rest.", He never said, I am rest, but yet said, I will give rest to you, and that rest is the power "strengtheneth" [Philippians 4:13] to cease from sin, which is unrest/enmity with God, but apparently there are some here that have not faith enough to believe it and so will not enter into the New Jerusalem, but will utterly perish.

And for the last, "
Evidence is easily found in the Sermon on the Mount.", I fully agree, ready when you are.

Yup. The legalists will seemingly never understand that the Greek word for law doesn't necessarily mean the Law of Moses and that the Greek word for commandments doesn't necessarily mean the Ten given to the Israelites.

But then some people simply enjoy telling others what to do and telling people they're wrong, even when they're not.

Yup. The legalists ...
Legalist, whose root word is "Legal", meaning within the proper boundary of the Law. Satan always accuses the obedient, since he himself is an illegalist, a disobedient lawless one, self-righteous, which maketh his own laws apart from God's.

Therefore, these things, are proper, and I accept them as my lot, even as the Scripture defines them:

Matthew 5:11 KJB - Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

I am called "fringe"...

FRINGE:

Numbers 15:38 KJB - Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them
fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

Numbers 15:39 KJB - And it shall be unto you for a
fringe, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a whoring:

Blue Sapphire Law of God - See Exodus 24:10-12; Ezekiel 1:26-28, 10:1

I am called "sect":

SECT:

Acts 24:5 KJB - For we have found this man
a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:

Acts 28:22 KJB - But we desire to hear of thee what thou thinkest: for as concerning this
sect, we know that every where it is spoken against.

I am called "alarmist":

ALARMIST:

Joel 2:1 KJB - Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an
alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

I am called "conspiricist":

CONSPIRICIST:

Jeremiah 11:9 KJB - And the LORD said unto me, A
conspiracy is found among the men of Judah, and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

Isaiah 8:12 KJB - Say ye not, A confederacy, to all
them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye their fear, nor be afraid.

I am called "tiny, insignificant, few":

TINY LITTLE GROUP:

Revelation 12:17 KJB - And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the
remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Zechariah 8:12 KJB - For the seed
shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Ezekiel 5:1 KJB - And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause [it] to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the [hair].

Ezekiel 5:2 KJB - Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, [and] smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

Ezekiel 5:3 KJB - Thou shalt also take thereof a
few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.

Ezekiel 5:4 KJB - Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; [for] thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.

I am called "narrow minded":

NARROW/NARROW MINDED:

Matthew 7:14 KJB - Because strait
is the gate, and narrowis the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

John 14:6 KJB -
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Philippians 2:5 KJB - Let this
mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

1 Peter 4:1 KJB - Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the
same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

I am called "closed minded":

CLOSED/CLOSED MINDED:

Revelation 7:4 KJB - And I heard the number of them which were
sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

I am called "hard headed":

HARD HEADED:

Exodus 28:36 KJB - And thou shalt make a plate [of] pure gold, and grave upon it, [like] the engravings of a signet,
HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

Exodus 28:37 KJB - And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

Exodus 28:38 KJB - And it shall be upon Aaron's
forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

Ezekiel 3:8 KJV - Behold, I have made thy face strong against their faces, and thy
forehead strong against their foreheads.

Ezekiel 3:9 KJV -
As an adamant harder than flint have I made thy forehead: fear them not, neither be dismayed at their looks, though they [be] a rebellious house.

Revelation 14:1 KJB - And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty
and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

1 Samuel 2:2 KJB -
There isnone holy as the LORD: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.

Matthew 21:44 KJB - And whosoever shall fall on this
stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Luke 20:18 KJB - Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Acts 6:9 KJV - Then there arose certain of the synagogue, which is called [the synagogue] of the Libertines, and Cyrenians, and Alexandrians, and of them of Cilicia and of Asia, disputing with Stephen.

Acts 6:10 KJV -
And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

I am called "heretic":

HERESY:

Acts 24:14 KJB - But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call
heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

And then so be it, I am all those things as defined above... and they are endearing to me. :)

ALARMIST:

Joel 2:1 KJB - Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an
alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;

1 Peter 4:1 KJB - Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the
same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;

HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

Exodus 28:37 KJB - And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.

Exodus 28:38 KJB - And it shall be upon Aaron's
forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.

forehead strong against their foreheads.

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

I am called "heretic":

HERESY:

heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

And then so be it, I am all those things as defined above... and they are endearing to me. :)

Cool! I like it...

Sojournest thou with the Israelites who keepeth the entire Law?
You certainly will not promote the idea to become a Jews just because you live there. There is more to it than that. Would one be required not to steal just because he lived in Jerusalem? Isaiah 56 does not speak of Live in Jerusalem but requires the same of the stranger.

In a nutshell, you demand that Jesus violated the Law by the way you apply Mark 2:27. Then, you quote another verse from the Law that indicates your application to include "all men" is wrong. When you get to Mark 2:28, you're left scratching your head wondering how the Son of Man could be Lord of the Sabbath because He retains sovereignty over the Sabbath, as it wasn't applicable to Himself - the passage declares His divinity.

Those seeking to apply the Law to themselves stop at nothing to strip the Law of its Holiness, and violate it to promote a truncated version that is unholy. That's Adventism in its essence. You haven't moved to Israel, and you don't have the Sabbath made only for those who received the covenant from Mount Sinai. Jesus didn't violate the Law. That's what you're doing.

The Pharisees were the legalists of the day. I'm sure they thought themselves cool and correct as well.
Saul of Tarsus was a legalist also, before he switched sides and became pro grace. Ironic that it took being blinded by Jesus to get him to "see the light".

Theft was outlawed in more than one legal system, so that's irrelevant.
