You can find liberty in Christ through praying with others. The lord wants us to be pray with each other, to worship with each other.
At a liturgical church, we sing together, pray together and worship together. We listen to scripture together, we meditate together. The pastor is our spiritual guide, his homilies are in line with the apostolic teachings of the Church. Come and join us. Come and see.
If nothing else, visiting our Churches would make you a better apologist for your own belief in Christ.
I dont doubt that you have fellowship, however lets consider liberty and fullness. Come join me, come and see.
Tell me brother, where does the bible speak of individuals worshiping alone as being pleasing to God? Where does Jesus say he wants us each to be on our own, "liberated"?
I didn't instead it to be seen that way. All things work for our good, and nothing can separate us from Gods love through Christ (Romans 8), so if we were incarcerated (for example) and we were separated from Church then we could still have fullness in Christ because our fellowship is with God the Father and His son, Jesus Christ. (1 John 1:3)
Having said that, i'm suggesting that i may have things that prevent me from going to Church, but surely my faith is in God, John was exiled at Patmos, and throughout history saints have been separated from the Church. I am strong in faith which sustains me, praise the Lord for not leaving nor forsaking me. Amen.
But my question to you is this- Why do you need a teacher? Isn't the Word enough as John teaches us? Why do you need an apostle? Isn't the apostles that Christ sent, who wrote the NT enough? And why would anyone need a Pope? Isn't the Word enough? Are we not sons of God? Are we not the temple of the Spirit? Isn't Christ Himself our teacher? Isn't this true fullness? Can anything separate us from Christ (Romans 8)? Surely not.
Faith in Gods promises given through Christ is what i'm talking about. Faith in John chapter 14, 1 John chapter 2 and Mathew 5-7, faith in Philippians 4, 1 Corinthians 3:16, 1 Peter 2:9, Mathew 23:8-10, and last but not least faith in 2 Corinthians 3:17
1 John 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
He dwells in us, He is the teacher, we need no Apostle or Pope, just the Word.
Mathew 23:8 But you, do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, the Christ, and you are all brethren. 9 Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. 10 And do not be called teachers; for One is your Teacher, the Christ.

Avoidance of the question asked, not surprisng.
26 Now an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying, “Arise and go toward the south along the road which goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” This is desert. 27 So he arose and went. And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, 28 was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet. 29 Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go near and overtake this chariot.”
30 So Philip ran to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, “Do you understand what you are reading?”
31 And he said, “How can I, unless someone guides me?” And he asked Philip to come up and sit with him.
Please stop with that tired old argument, you only see what you want to see.
Firstly, just having the scriptures at your disposal doesn't necessarily mean squat. For example, we see this in Acts 8 where the Ethiopian Eunuch needed someone to explain to him what it was he was reading. People need the faith explained to them and need to be instructed.
Acts 8:26-31
Additionally, we are told to gather with other believers, and one can't partake of the sacraments without doing so either.
Anyone who comes along instructing others that all they need is the bible is peddling falsehoods.
Oh! the peace which Jehovah gives to his people, even in the midst of the most trying circumstances!
Starting threads, making criticisms of people's views, and then refusing to address their replies under the pretense of "not wanting to debate" is generally considered to be disingenuous practice. What exactly do you claim to be doing in a part of CF where theology is discussed and debated?
Just because i dont want to debate with you doesnt mean i reject a healthy and edifying debate.
Code for, I want my views validated, even if I refuse to do research on what I comment on.Just because i dont want to debate with you doesnt mean i reject a healthy and edifying debate.
It is not just "with me." As ViaCrucis mentioned earlier in your other thread, it is very plain who you are choosing to reply to and who you are skipping over in the hopes that they will not hold you accountable for your claims. You are not having any debate at all, but reinforcement and justification for what you already believe.

Why does one need a teacher? Well to stop heresy from corrupting the teachings of Christ. There is a reason that Christ entrusted his Apostles with the care of his church, because he knew they would not waver in the true orthodox faith. When gnostics threatened the Christianity, the true teachings of Christ survived due to the intervention of the Apostolic Church.
Look at what Paul says in Titus 1:5
For this reason I left you in Crete, that you should set in order the things that are lacking, and appoint elders in every city as I commanded you.
Paul set a bishop up in Crete to continue the true faith of Christ, he also gave him instructions to avoid heresy and dissent.
Yes, Paul set things in order, but not the RC/EO or Anglican. I followed Pauls doctrine and i am doing well.
