While waiting out in the middle of Lake George to catch a glimpse of Comet ISON from 3:30am until dawn, I thought I'd make use of the cloud-waiting.

I've seen many photographers try this with different compositions, gadgets and techniques, so I thought I'd have a crack at a few of my own.

I am guessing from the cloudcover that you missed seeing the comet! But at least you had fun doing the pictures.
