  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Creationists: What are the reasons general acceptance of deep time and evolution

You said there was a fatal flaw in evolution but are then unable to explain what that is.

Then again, what should we expect from someone who lies about being a geology professor?

I was going to reply to your first sentence.

Then I see your second sentence. It changed my mind.

No explanation for you. Sorry.

So Francisco Ayala doesn't believe in God, even though he is an ordained priest, and has a list of scientific honours as long as your arm.

I guess he must be a TE. I told you TE is special. They use God to mend holes of evolution. Cleaver way. But I think they are cheating themselves. And there will be consequences.

No they don't. That is what Michael Behe does - or at least the holes he can persuade nobody else are there to need mending.

Once I proposed God makes evolution. So evolution works without the need of God afterward. But TE people criticized it as an idea of deism. If so, they must be aware of that evolution can not work on itself.

Given your level of openness and honesty, I'm dubious about your description of other peoples beliefs. Got some links as evidence?

No.

But I also heard of other people talked about this "deistic" idea about revolution. Many years ago, that was also one of my consideration. Then I abandoned it because I do find many problems about evolution. God won't make such a stupid system. It will not work on itself.

He doesn't need an explanation -- he's given it.

You're caught, Juven... again. Soon there won't be anyone on this forum who doesn't know you for what you really are.

It would be deism if they said that God had no concern for the outcome of Evolution, but that concern does not imply that he has to be constantly intervening along the way.

No need to be a constant or frequent or occasional intervention. Just once would be more than enough.
It says that the evolution process can not function as it is suggested by evolutionist.

So TE people are actually against the scientific evolution process. They do see big problems in that and can only call God to help.

Or simply did not function that way...

By that "logic," Theists are against everything scientific -- every answered prayer is nothing more than God stacking the deck in one's favor.

Not everything, but something.
Are you a scientist? Do not exaggerate observations.
You are forgiven if you are not one.

Are you going to explain that statement or make an excuse not to?

Are you a scientist? Do not exaggerate observations.

You're saying that theists never pray for God to invalidate biology, medicine, physics, chemistry, biology, zoology, meteorology, psychology, etc., etc., by skewing results in their favor?

Or are you saying God never answers such prayers?

You are forgiven if you are not one.

I never tried to pass myself off as something I'm not -- how about you?

Miracles are intended for a single person who prayed for it. For everyone else, what happened is either 100% scientific (or reasonable), or is not interpretable "yet".

What should I explain?

Because I exposed your lies? Fine

Other people have asked for an explanation - you can answer them instead.

If you can't actually explain what you think is wrong with evolution, your criticisms must be disregarded.

ALL examples of evolution are isolated cases. That is what's wrong.

So miracles are subjective experiences, then... No actual bending of natural laws, just the appearance of such to the individual who prayed for it.
