Do creationists accept the evolution of plants?

You may describe that biological function of death. And I will use the same to precisely describe the death of a rock.

Try!

So you are saying that a rock has the same biological functions as a cell?

Rock is alive because it changes through time by taking and releasing energy. It can be born, it ages, and it can die.

What else do you need for a life?

You need to read a definition, it helps sometimes. Here is a good one:

Life is a characteristic distinguishing physical entities having signaling and self-sustaining processes from those that do not, either because such functions have ceased (death), or because they lack such functions and are classified as inanimate.

Or another:

Life is the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms, being manifested by growth through metabolism, reproduction, and the power of adaptation to environment through changes originating internally.

But go ahead and change your definition to include rocks. I would like to see your definition that excludes plants though.

The earth, you mean as a whole? Well, there is a thin film of life on the surface of our planet, but for the most part yes it isn't alive.

It is. From the surface to the core.

A rock can be detected and identified, and is unique.
A rock is a self sustaining system.

When a rock died, those functions ceased.

I expect we'll see you leading the cause to bring miners to justice for murdering all the rocks in the quarry. And I have marble counter tops in my kitchen. That's disgusting isn't it? The corpse of that once beautiful rock, just laying there to look beautiful.

If I break a rock in two, does it become two separate life forms, or is it one lifeform that spends the rest of its existence in agony because it has ben torn in half. Why can't I see any sign of it trying to heal itself? Can I administer first aid? What is a suitable bandage for a rock booboo?

No, it's the evidence behind her opinion that does.

There is evidence behind my opinion as well. Birds change into a variety of birds. It can be observed, repeated and tested.

If a bird can turn into a dinosaur or a fish or something else then we should be able to see the evidence. Where is it?

Fossil record, DNA evidence, genetic evidences, all sorts of things.

You can not evaluate life form by using our standard of life. It is a mistake if you want to evaluate the life form of space aliens.

The rock on your kitchen counter is still breathing, even it is dying slowly.
If you break "a" rock into two pieces, then you get "two" rocks. I think you can chop the root of some plants to do the same.
If kill a rock is a criminal, then all farmers should be put into jail too.
