Making a false statement out of ignorance is a mistake. Making the same statement after knowing the truth is a lie. Jacob may have believed that the branches were to credit for the speckled or striped sheep, but any breeder or EVOLUTIONIST will tell you that breeding two animals with the same mutation has a greater likelihood of passing that mutation on to the offspring. So to the man of faith who reads the story, he knows that Jacob's faith in God resulted in God multiplying his wealth. To the skeptic, it's just a case of selective breeding. In either case, the story told is entirely possible. That article is neither scientific nor truthful. It's horse manure through and through.
You stating that it didn't happen with no evidence beyond your own incredulity is nothing short of a lie.
