Absolutely 100% incorrect. It was a combination of his faith in God to reward his labors with prosperity, and doing something unique which he believed would cause the sheep to give birth to striped offspring.

The Bible doesn't attribute the production of striped offspring to God or Jacob's faith. It doesn't even have Jacob pray about the sheep. You are adding something to the text that is not there.

Do you have some verses from the Bible that directly support your contention that the Bible attributes the production of striped sheep to Jacob's faith or to God?

My you seem to be quite confused about evolution and what it means. We did not evolve from a Neanderthal. No one is proposing we did. We apparently did get a little genetic input from them but that is all.

Lucy is considered more closely related to us than to chimps. Lucy was along our line, not the chimp's line. She was either an ancestor of humans or was closely related to our ancestor.
