Member Of Bergdahl’s Platoon Says He “Purposefully and Willfully” Abandoned Post, Caused American Lives

Since the the release of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl there have been many questions surrounding the night of his disappearance and whether or not he was a “deserter”. On Monday’s show, a caller who identified himself as “Joshua Cornelison” and claimed to have served Bergdahl, confirmed some recent media reports and said Bergdahl did indeed “abandon his post”!

Here’s what he told Tom:

… (Bergdahl) ended up walking off our small outpost in the middle of nowhere and he purposefully and willfully left under his own conscience and will and he decided he wanted his own adventure in Afghanistan and subsequently put myself and my other 29 other platoon members in tremendous amount of harm initially. And then as all the resources got shifted in to Paktika.. he put thousands and thousands of more people in danger and there were causalities because of that …​

Later, Cornelison told Tom is was “infuriating” chasing “this ghost” around when he believe Bergdahl didn’t want to be found!
