The Revelation opens with the coming of the Sign of the Son of Man in the clouds on Oct. 28th, 312AD, and the appearance on that day of the first Christian horseman, St. Constantine, who rode a white horse and conquered Rome and all the known world for Jesus and His Church using a bow. And Constantine sent his messengers with a trumpet and gathered all the Church together, to Nicea. And the kingdom he founded lasted over a thousand years.

The word coming is also "PAROUSIA",as mentioned only 4 times in the Gospels, and that in Matthew 24.

Matthew 24:3
Of sitting yet of Him upon the Mount of the Olives the Disciples came toward Him according to own saying "be telling to us when? shall these-things be and what? the sign of Thy parousiaV <3952> and the together-finish of the Age"
[Daniel 12/1Corin 15:23/Revelation 19:11]

1 Thessalonians 3:13
Into the stand-fast of ye the hearts blameless in together-holiness before the God and Father of us, in the parousia <3952> of the Lord of us, Jesus Christ, with all of the holy-ones of Him
[Zech 14:5/Matt 24:3/Revelation 19:11.]

Revelation 19:11
And I saw the heaven having be openedand behold!
A white horse and the One sitting on it being called faithful and true. And in righteousness He is judging and battling.

Hi LittleLambofJesus

I voted for Rev. 19:11 but it's also mentioned in Rev. 14:14. I don't think Rev. 11, at the seventh trumpet, is The Parousia because we still will have to go though the seven bowls after that. The seven bowls are likely when the grapes are thrown into the great wine press of the wrath of God.The Parousia of Matt 24 should be after the seventh bowl.

Man, it sounds like a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

Have a peaceful rest of The Sabbath

"Other" in light of the Parousia in Rev.19:11-21 and the same Parousia at Rev.20:9-15.

Old Jack

btw Rev.11:14-19 is also the same Parousia.

Revelation 20? Are you sure?

Revelation 20 (English Standard Version)
The Defeat of Satan

The Defeat of Satan

"7 And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. 9 And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, 10 and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever"

Judgment Before the Great White Throne

"11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire"

This looks to me like Judgment Day, resurection and annihilation of the wicked. Like mabey 1000 years after The Parousia of Matthew 24. I don't see no Parousia here. How many parousias do you see? How many Parousias can there be?

Only because you do care will share: Although the majority can be wrong as in the times of Noah, Amillennial is the dominate view of Revelation. However with the majority of Christians that are Amillennialist, there are diverse views to extreme diverse views. I'll share my one view of many regarding the "7" times Revelation comes to the end of the world. I'll confess as an old man that I do lol more than I should thus loling now in case there is one chance out of hundred that this view is valid as I'm really the antithesis of any scholar on the planet - bottom of the heap sort of thing.

Rev.6:12-17; 7:9-17; 11:14-19; 14:14-20; 16:17-21; 19:11-21; 20:9-15.

Seen them the same almost 3 decades ago and have been the devil's advocate trying to disprove that they are the same events, and still unable to. Especially working with the same event in Rev.6:12-17.

Hi all,
and
Hi
shturt678s,

Very astute of you to "see" what you wrote about above.

I am sure you have also seen that another key point is that Timothy was taught by Paul himself how he should learn to "rightly- divide" the "scriptures" of his day so that he would not be ashamed via whether they might inadvertently promote doctrines of men. Since he would not be ashamed "only" if he would promote doctrines of God that would encourage loving holiness and purity in his converting students.

Ultimately “all” of our efforts I pray are for Jesus and for Jesus' inheritances sakes worldwide, and I know that "many" in CF are working towards mentoring others in their understanding of God's "vision" for us "all" via their own holiness towards God and others to the "best" of our "current" abilities and efforts.

God bless you and everyone here in CF greatly for your efforts to mentor others in “the-way”.

I'd have to go with Revelation 19:11-21. That is when Jesus returns to earth, so it must be the 'sign of his coming'.
I have to say Rev. 19:11, Rev. 11:15 (at the 7th trumpet where the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our God and His Christ) And in Rev. 14:14-16 (where on like the Son of Man comes on a cloud to reap the earth.....

I believe that these all speak of the same event from different perspectives
The Revelation opens with the coming of the Sign of the Son of Man in the clouds on Oct. 28th, 312AD, and the appearance on that day of the first Christian horseman, St. Constantine, who rode a white horse and conquered Rome and all the known world for Jesus and His Church using a bow. Thank you for that inspirational post.

So can you answer the OP concerning where the Parousia occurs in Revelation and perhaps vote?

Don't use the more complex text for any sort of chronology when the simpler one is available with its single timestamp of Mt 24:29. "where is (something from the Rev) in Mt 24?" will be more productive.

"Doctrines of men" as used by Paul needs to be defined in terms of Judaism.

That would help. Thanks bro.
