I got my first cell phone, my current one, in December 2006. Do the math, and it's almost seven years old.
I have never felt the need to buy a fancy smartphone because I'm at home most of the time, with a full-featured computer waiting for me.

I did not get one until I started college and even then it is a basic phone. I can call and text but not the internet or any apps. I very rarely text. My 17 year old sister though has an I phone and has for over a year she got her first phone when she was 12 or so.I may be the only American who doesn't own a cell phone. I've never had one or even wanted one. I see so many people addicted to their phones (like drug addicts), that I'm thankful I never got one. Not everyone gets addicted to them, but waaay too many do. The next time your at an airport, take a seat and watch how crazy people act on their cell phones. It's amusing and sad at the same time.
