I can't wait to make my salmon this way next time! There's a song about what I'm doing today:
I'm grilling in the snow, just grillin in the snow ... (Yes, it's the third season of the year here - still winter)
Salmon. Marinated in lemon, ginger, and courtesy of Tangible - cilantro.
Man is that stuff good! It can be an overpowering flavor, but not compared to fish, or ginger. Goes great mixed with red peppers too! (Another strong flavor)
Not a bachelor's 1 ingredient recipe today: fresh salad! Fresh spinach for a base, with about equal parts red leaf lettuce, said red peppers and cilantro, left the campari tomatoes whole on the side, and broccoli. Freshest, purplest broccoli you've ever seen! Prepping all this took a while so I had to have a bunch of it dipped in dressing, and of course I had to mix in some of the most finely chopped cilantro into the dressing first.
I'm so inspired I think I'll have to get the ingredients for Tangible's guac. Pink lemonade goes well with all this - no margaritas needed!
Listening to Lee Morgan with Jackie McLean, Hank Mobley, and Cedar Walton ... (rehearsal was cancelled today, hence my celebration)
Man am I stuffed! Needed it though, lots of work the next couple of days and I'm run down from skiing my legs off - feeling much better now
Marinating bacon-wrapped beef tenderloin for tomorrow (no cilantro lol)
Already had fish 3 or 4 times in the past week. MMM.
I love cilantro and recently found it was much easier to manage
with kitchen shears.
Now I use them for scallions and even when I chop deli meat to
put in my lettuce salad lol.
sounds great, how was the tenderloin?
Skiing! good for you. Spring is supposed to
be coming around soon, enjoy it while you can!
