Why do you bother wasting your time in a freaking Eschatology thread if you don't want to know what's going on,and don't believe we're really suppose to know what's going on??

Because, as I have said, I am trying to understand more about eschatology.

So far, all I am seeing is; "there is a rapture", "there isn't a rapture"; "the millenium starts soon", "the millenium started some years ago".
Several dates for the Lord's return have been posted on these forums since I became a member - all have been wrong. People have been teaching that certain verses mean that this will happen; others quote other verses which show that it won't. And you seem to think that youtube is the ultimate authority and God's preferred method of communication!

God speaks clearly in his word and through his prophets - not in code, or a language that only "the wise" can understand. That was what the Gnostics in NT times believed - that they were the elite and had some kind of special knowledege or revelation. These people were denounced by the apostles as false teachers.

Jesus is coming again and we need to be ready - that's all we need to know.

If people are being resurrected to shame and everlasting contempt, that's the final resurrection at the end of the 1000 years in Revelation 20.



Now, check this out:

We just established that the end "of these wonders" was the resurrection at the end of the millennium. So what is the beginning "of these wonders"?

Go back to the beginning where the angel began the story as written in the Book of Truth in heaven:

Daniel 11:Also I in the first year of Darius the Mede, even I, stood to confirm and to strengthen him.2 And now will I shew thee the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia; and the fourth shall be far richer than they all: and by his strength through his riches he shall stir up all against the realm of Grecia.


From our perspective, we can look back on history and see when this was:

His reign ended in 486BC. Some sources say 487BC.



So, from 486-487BC to 13/14AD is 500 years (1/2 a time)
from 13/14AD to 2013/2014 is 2000 years (times)
from 2013/2014 to 3013/3014 is 1000 years (time)
for a total of 3500 years.

Sorry, but you may be into Bible codes, numerology and mathematical equations from the book of Daniel; I am not and I don't believe that God speaks in such an obscure way, recognised only by a few.

You say this is clear, then elsewhere you say, "If nothing happens on this date ....". Either it's clear, is from God and WILL happen, or it isn't and it won't.

What is clearly stated is that we will not know. More importantly, Satan (the "strong man" in this house) is not to know. That means to me that it's not a simple matter of figuring out scripture clues--Satan has had millions of hours to work on those, and he's more clever than any group of us.

Jesus certainly knew all the deep meanings of scripture--yet He confessed that He did not know.

If the details about the Lord's return are hidden somehwere in the book of Daniel - or Daniel and Revelation - so that only the wise and discerning can find them, then those who may have mental health problems, Alzheimer's, learning difficulties or who may simply be ordinary people who are unable to understand all these mathematical equations - don't stand a chance. It is people like this - people the world (and the church?) may despise and count as foolish, whom God chooses and uses; rather than those who are wise, well educated, rich and who we think would be an obvious choice. Remember when David was annointed king - Samuel thought that Jesse's tall, good looking and strong sons would be the annointed; he ended up annointing a young shepherd boy.

So you've found a verse which contains the word "Conspiracy"? What does this verse have to do with what we are talking about?

I don't think he's likely to strike you dead because you may have misunderstood something in his word. Especially as he died for you before you knew anything of that word.

God said in many places that if we watch that day will not come upon us as a surprise; we will expect it. He held the Jews responsible at the time of Christ because they DID NOT KNOW. How much more could the Lord have done to let us know? There are at LEAST 5 verses in the Bible telling us to WATCH and we will know!

If you analyse these the 'watching' is most often about staying Christian and not letting your faith go to sleep. There was one exception: the Olivet discourse. Jesus gave very specific signs to the disciples to warn them, and all Christians, to flee Jerusalem when they saw Rome coming. The message? Get out of town! It was obvious, it was predictable, it was local, and the message was to get out of town and don't be there! It happened in AD70 when Titus DID desolate the sacrificial system, killed 1.1 million Jews, split up the Jewish nation and destroyed the temple, stone by stone, in exact fulfilment of scripture!

Your video's, in contrast, make out there's ANOTHER abomination that causes desolation, and water it down to a dignitary visiting the Middle East. That's so weak it couldn't fight it's way out of a wet paper bag. The AOD involves BLOOD (the swords of Luke 21) and suffering and the destruction of the temple and the end of the sacrificial system. It happened. Your videos are WRONG! They are not incredible, they are discreditable!

The irony is in the very same Olivet discourse where some try to push the AoD off into the future, Christ's return is presented as UNPREDICTABLE, UNSTOPPABLE, and UNIVERSAL.

In other words, 'staying awake' cannot at ALL mean date guessing. It's about being ready for Judgement Day, which I am because I am trusting in Christ alone, by faith alone, by grace alone, through Jesus alone, and I learnt all this by my final authority, scripture alone.

People, I AM being careful. I have stated here SEVERAL times that if that date I have put forward as the Abominaton of Desolation is wrong, I will be the FIRST to state how wrong I was.

Did you know that in the Old testament false prophets were stoned to death? You have said several times that this message comes from the Holy Spirit men who wrote the videos. You're saying this stuff is from God himself. In the Old Covenant, your life could soon be forfeit. No one is saying the world looks fine. YES there is evil out there! That's why the Lord wrote Revelation, to warn us not to give in to the worldly philosophies of the beast (Rev 13), the temptations to trust in wealth, the temptations to curse God when there are natural disasters, etc etc etc. We've known the word is not fine for 2000 years, since Jesus said there will be wars and rumours of wars (which actually also applied specifically to the period up to AD70, but also through prophetic perspective also applies to the whole Last Days since Acts 2 and beyond).

Because they aren't being reported. I've posted those predictions/prophecies threads annually for the last 4-5 years, but it took one person reporting me to get the mods to yank my thread. I have always looked forward to the Christ's second coming, the parousia, but I hope that he finds me at work glorifying him and his kingdom, not sitting on my hands trying to decipher "bible codes". Christ could be here the moment I submit this post or it could be another 10,000 years. I welcome his return. Do I believe that return signals some kind of escapism for Christians to rush off to some other cosmic real estate while he levels judgment on Earth? No, I believe as the Creed states:
