Christians have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. There may be people calling themselves Christians who aren't, but if they are Christians, they have the Holy Spirit abiding within them.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Check the new testament. Enoch and Elijah experienced it. Isaiah 26 alludes to it. Jesus spoke about it in John 14. The apostle Paul wrote about it in 1 Thessalonians 4. Revelations 4, 11 refers to it. It is featured in a Jewish Moed- September, October.
And Christian Bible prognosticators have been predicting the occurrence since 53 AD. I have the list. Herald Camping being the most recent. Those who say it'll happen this March (2013) is another attempt at it.
If people keep saying it's going to happen each year, they will eventually be right.

The Bible talks about the believers meeting Christ in the air before the judgment, that's a very different thing to the rapture idea in most American Christian minds which is just as Big Fudge describes; a 19th C fable cooked up to further an artificial distinction of the people of God.

Meeting Christ "in the air" refers to meeting Him...in spirit. Air, as used there isn't the atmosphere but rather is pneuma, spirit...the breath of life.
When we physically pass away or "are changed" we are then in spiritual bodies and those are the bodies in which we meet Him.

In Isaiah 14 right after speaking of Lucifer...he then goes on to speak of the man of sin,or the anti-Christ ,or the son of perdition in whom Satan will dwell. And he describes him...that people should narrowly look upon him...like, how did this vile criminal deceive the entire world,and bring it into desolation. Not like you hear of him in the fairy tail books like left behind.

By the way...I didn't mean that as far as your faith in CHRIST,and SALVATION is concerned. So sorry if it sounded like that. Eschatology is where our Calvinistic similarities differ. I'm not a Calvinist at all when it comes to Eschatology. Lol...I mean 600 hundred years of future time,and development have passed since him. Lol...But I still very much love his writings.
