CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

So, with respect, why the thread saying that you were almost certain it would happen, with clips on youtube for "evidence"?
Scaremongering - based, not on Scripture, but on the fact that various symbols connected with the games were obviously occultic and signs of the presence of the "illuminati".
Satan has no interest whatsoever in letting people know when the Lord will return. He wants us to think it won't be for years and years, then no one will bother repenting.
As I am born again, a follower of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and, I believe, as ready for his return as I can be - it doesn't really matter whether I am gazing at the sky, waiting to be the first to spot him, or whether I don't realise until he is actually here. I am saved through Christ, and Christ alone. I am his child, live IN him and try to live FOR him. Whatever trials and troubles I may go through before I get to meet with him; I am saved, and will one day be completely saved and well.

Yes, there has been lots of "research" over the years - lots of dates given, even in the 8 years that I've been on these forums.
All have been wrong - some, spectacularly so. Why can't people just accept that when Jesus said that no one knows the date of his return he means just that - and not "no one knows the day, except for a few people who may be able to work it out mathematically from the book of Daniel and by cracking some secret code"?

Please relax...did I say one thing about your relationship,and salvation with,and in CHRIST? Satan is the gOD of this world. And just because the word illuminati isn't in the Bible... Everything that exists in this world is in that BIBLE...if not. Then your just dealing with a revelation of men,and the traditions of men...AND NOT GOD. GOD IS BIGGER THAN THE BAPTIST CHURCH BOX...AND EVEYOTHER BOX HE'S PUT INTO. Not everyone is given by GOD to understand the "MYSTERIES" of BABYLON. No one believed the real Prophets of GOD back in the day. No...they hated them,and killed them. Jesus's own Word's about the city,and the temple being destroyed didn't happen until about 40 years after His death,and resurrection in 70 A.D when Rome burnt Jerusalem down to the ground.

The thing is....no one has to be a prophet to know these things. All the information is there. Most people are to terrified to find out what's really going on behind the scenes. And that rightfully so...I humbly pray to the SPIRIT OF TRUTH TO GUID AND LEAD ME IN TO ALL TRUTH EVEYDAY,"AND TO SHOW me THINGS TO COME". JUST HAS HE HAS SAID HE WILL DO. I ask HIM TO PLEASE UNLOCK THE SCRIPTURES UNTO me SO THAT I MAY KNOW WHAT IS TRULY GOING ON IN THE WORLD.

It's like I've said before (even earlier today): for some Christians trying to predict and calculate Christ's coming, abiding by all sorts of conspiracy theories and heretical beliefs is literally the entire Christian faith for them. It's an addiction of sorts, and to leave that life and that worldview behind would be tantamount to abandoning Christianity in their minds.
It's not unlike The Truman Show, the titular character was led to believe for his entire life that everything within the confines of what was familiar to him was all there was to his existence. Eventually he broke free of that and saw the vastness of the world that lay ahead.
Having an improper, heterodox view of eschatology (e.g. one that is combined with inane conspiracy theories, calculations, predictions and so-called "prophecies") is like the world that Truman lived in: confined to a very limited set of parameters. The illusion began to unravel however (such as when the stage light crashed from the ceiling/sky) and Truman realized that the depth and breadth of reality was far more compelling than the fantasy that had been spun for him. This reality that Truman eventually encountered and embraced is like the depth and breadth of the Christian faith itself, it's not the indulgent and titillating heterodoxy that is embraced in conspiracy theories or predictions but rather the gospel, the sacraments, communing with the Holy Trinity.
P.S. Sorry for the spoilers to my mates that haven't seen that film yet!

Here is the raptured church (praising God for salvation) in heaven doing exactly what the worshipers did 5 days before Passover:
Rev 7:9 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. Rev 7:10 And they cried out in a loud voice: "Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb."
Jhn 12:12 The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival (Passover) heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. Jhn 12:13 They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, "Hosanna! " "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!" "Blessed is the king of Israel!"

Daniel 12 gives the approximate year and the approximate date of when it all begins, within a year or two (depending on calendars) and within a day or two (depending on sighting of new moon).
Here is where it tells you the year:
Dan 12:6 One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?" Dan 12:7 The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, "It will be for a time, times and half a time.
"These astonishing things" that the angel described began in 487-486 BC. And we know from Revelation 20, that this occurs at the end of the millennium:
Dan 12:2 Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
Here is where it tells you the date, within a day or two, depending on sighting of new moon:
Dan 12:12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
When you know what the end of the 1335 days is, you know when it begins. Do you want to know? It's all written.

This is huge too. You know all those sink holes which have been happening more,and more lately all around the nation? Especially that one that swallowed the guy up in Florida when he was sleeping in his bed!
I'm not quite sure people are grasping Daniel 12. This is huge.
Isa 24:17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, are upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth.
Isa 24:18 And it shall come to pass, that he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.
Isa 24:19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly.
I believe These sink holes are a major sign that a massive earthquake is getting ready to take place like this whole world has never seen...it's going to shift the poles:
Isa 24:1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof.
