I've been waiting in lines to get to places to wait in lines again, so I've had fun today. It was hospital pre-op day, and I'm all checked out for my carpal tunnel surgeries that will begin on 7-26. My hands and wrists have really been bothering me more all the time, so I'm ready to get some relief. I still don't know what I'll be able to do during the recovery times after each surgery, but I plan to follow the doctor's orders exactly. I certainly don't want to mess anything up and cause the need for additional surgeries. I might be absent for as long as a month, depending on what I'm told to do.

All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers during my absence.

We will miss you for sure...but will remember to be praying for successful surgery and quick recovery.

Amen...I recently listened to a young man preaching the gospel, and he mentioned repentance many times...why we need to repentant and Who has been offended. God's wrath is seldom mentioned in churches, it is surprising to hear something about that part of His being.

I would also like to join in repentance and the prayer chain for peace with God. It's always a good time for us to seek God's forgiveness. May we also give thanks for all of the good things that God gives us.

Uh oh


So, here I was painting / resting and then, doing a bit more
when, out of the blue, Mary's son David phones, to tell us
that he and his friend are coming FRIDAY, to lay those boards in our living room

This puts the painting 'on-hold'
and leaves Mary and I, to strip the room of everything that is easily moved
and some that is not so-easy

We have a busy day ahead of us, tomorrow [Thursday]
and I may not get around to restoring our internet connection
until late Friday evening /Saturday

So 'be-prepared' to manage without-me [over the period] in my absence

Go-on, you'll manage 'just fine' ~I am sure

To be honest, I would have, much preferred, receiving, one week's notice
for the RUSH, that is imminently to-hand, is, going to be 'very tiring'
However, Mary is of the opinion, that we should not, put him off, until later
as this might discourage his willingness, to be so-helpful
I can only add, that I will be very glad, to have this behind us

I already feel like I could sleep for several days in a row

We have today, stripped-out the older flooring boards in the living room
and tomorrow, we get rid, of the carpet, that is on the other half of the room
I will have-to leave the moving of the TV, in the hands of, the younger lads
because of, my failed hernia repairs and mitral valve problem

I will be here [on and off] until I disconnect
and remove the computers from the room
and my reconnecting, will be as soon as possible, following
the end of the works, when then, we will need to bring everything 'back' in here

I will 'rest', the painting until next week.... [sometime, next-week]

Retiring ? Who me ????? Sheesh !!!
That, will be the day !

I took Gracie to the vet this am for her Adaquan shot...we had to wait almost 1/2 for him...the little waiting room was full of people and dogs. It is always fun to visit, most of us love to talk about our pets. Gracie was the only one "crying"...she sounded just pitiful today...but took her shot better. Then I drove her to her favorite park and she ran and played in the wet grass and sprinkler puddles...we are quiet now and I will really start to fill up a back closet tomorrow, the paint has had enough time to cure.

We are in for 4 days of showers/storms with up to 4 in of much needed rain, so we will be doing a lot of playing inside!

Tonight we will relax with our favorite tv shows.

Hello Eagles! Still unpacking boxes...finding a place for everything and no longer feeling the soles of my feet. The kitchen floor is ceramic so putting things away is painful on the tootsies I've been unpacking for days and feel as if I haven't even skimmed the surface! I hogtied over 50 boxes to put out for recycling tonight so I must have accomplished something although there are still soooooo many boxes unpacked! This is the first time moving in years so you can imagine the accumulation of "stuff". I have been tempted to put it all out on the curb. I went for my weekly therapy today and am doing much better. I hope to return to work part-time in September. Haven't painted in weeks but Alan and I wrote some powerful songs (inbetween the move)! One is called Eph 6 or Be Strong. I'll upload as soon as I have the chance. Hope you are all doing well. Talk to you soon, Yvie
