I should have 'snapped' the felted kitchen door panel BEFORE CLEANING LOL
It looked like, a hanging pelt

We had a bright and warm day today \o/ hooray \o/
I mixed some coloured emulsion paint together this afternoon [for the kitchen]
It is a very pale yellow... we want the walls in there to be 'bright'
and the new paint, will make a change, from the 'present' tangerine [some 4 years old]

He is a little unsteady on his back legs
and maybe leaned 'for support'. The paint was 'ready' to grab at anything

He left a huge pad of hair, on the door

It has been 20 some years since we painted the inside of our house....so the recent new paint is a great big happy thing for us!!!! Now the floors look right with the walls. Although we get a lot of sunshine, our house is older and dark inside...we have used a light warm color on the walls...called lambskin.

It took me a while to get to sleep last night...it was still hot long after dark here...I am beginning to realize how widespread and serious the drought is in the USA. Not a fun thing.

Yes, it's horrible. Many things happen depending on the length and severity of the drought. Many farmers and ranchers went under in my part of the country. That causes food prices to rise. Another common thing in drought stricken areas is wild fires that many times turn into fire storms - especially when there is any significant wind in the area. Water supplies are also put into jeopardy, so the consequences are far reaching.

We don't have much farming locally, but our Central Valley has suffered from drought...we do get the fire hazards...seems worse every year with Santa Ana winds too boot.
I see more dead lawns around here...we have let a lot of our die...it just takes too much water.

I've been waiting in lines to get to places to wait in lines again, so I've had fun today. It was hospital pre-op day, and I'm all checked out for my carpal tunnel surgeries that will begin on 7-26. My hands and wrists have really been bothering me more all the time, so I'm ready to get some relief. I still don't know what I'll be able to do during the recovery times after each surgery, but I plan to follow the doctor's orders exactly. I certainly don't want to mess anything up and cause the need for additional surgeries. I might be absent for as long as a month, depending on what I'm told to do.

All of you will be in my thoughts and prayers during my absence.

Praying for a fast recovery for your hands Magnum, will miss your posts for a while.
Yes the dry is so hard on the farm crops. Many already lost over east of us. The prices will reflect this in time I'm sure. Right now the beef prices will be low as farmers sell off the ones they cannot feed. Many prayer chains going around for rain. Need a prayer chain for repentance, now that might bring on a change..
