  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Is Benny hinn a false prophet ?

Benny Hinn does not believe God is nine persons. He believes God is three but one. Each member of the trinity functions in a similar way that we do since we are made in God's image. Benny Hinn broke down each member of the trinity into three parts. Those smaller parts are not people. It is just his way of helping us understand God better.

"His way", what? It's not in the Bible, it's not scriptural, it's made up.

It doesn't help you to understand God better, it helps you to MISUNDERSTAND God.

It's religion, not truth. You need to stop worshiping what a man says.

All, I can say, is I believe that people should be careful what they say about the men or women of God.

But what about men like Hinn, who are not men or women of God?

It's been my experience that true men and women of God welcome scrutiny and even correction.

I once wrote to Mike Abendroth to discuss something with him and rather than putting a curse on me, as Hinn once did (not me, personally, but on the children of anyone who criticizes him) or misapplying Psalm 105:15 to claim that it applies to him, he was very gracious and actually thanked me for the correction.

I believe that only God can truly judge people and their hearts. That is why it needs to be left up to him.

The same God who judges the hearts of men has commanded us to judge men's doctrines, their testimony, their sanctification, and their fruit.

maybe all of his messages have not been on point

"Not on point" means that something was not clear. Hinn's preaching has been very clear (not very good, but very clear). We're not talking about something that isn't clear, but heresy that contradicts scripture and a wolf who preaches it.

but I can say that I know the Hinn family personally and I can say that Pastor Benny loves God.

First of all, he's not a pastor.

Second, if he loves God, as you say, then how do you explain the discrepancy between Christ's statement, "If you love Me, then you'll keep My commands" and Hinn's repeated failure to keep Christ's commands?

I dunno, I have not listened to any of his prophesies, but if that is the case and his prophetic voice is not accurate maybe he should stick to his gift of healing...Pastor Benny has also personally laid hands on me when I was sick...and I can say, I have never met someone with such a strong anointing....I feel God is truly working in his life if so he wouldnt be so blessed. Personally , I have no problem with the people of God living wealthy......as long as they are about the fathers business. I dont know why we can acclaim a person for throwing a ball into a basket....and not fuss about his millions. But people who travel around the world spreading the gospel of Christ and ministering to the sick are often scrutinized...Its as if preachers are suppose to live in a one ruff shack and minister on a bike....He is no different from any of the other mega evangelist all of whom are very blessed.

Im sorry, I am just not for this thread because these sort of things have hurt his family so much.....and like he once stated to me, the worse of all is that it comes from christians.....I support pastor benny...his ministry...and his children...It has be my observations that most who judge him do not know him personally,or his family...nor have they really spent alot of time under his ministry. Pastor Benny Himself is a sweet man ..and he has a true heart for those who are sick...As a result, it truly hearts my heart to hear other christians say such things.

Geesh, it's really time to get over it and stop beating the dead horse. Most people already know Benny Hinn's ministry has serious issues.

at least he has a ministry

and its not 100% built on criticizing other ministries, in fact, I don't think he has ever done that.

you know what I find so common among Hinn-haters, is a lack of the supernatural. it's interesting to me the lack of experience with personal prophecy, divine healing, tongues, casting out demons, raising of the dead

having experienced some of this stuff, I'm ready to accept anyone who brings the gospel of Jesus, even if they include money with it, + the supernatural. Supernatural ability is something extremely rare so why criticize when you find someone who has it? Of course they're going to have money, its a very rare thing for a man to possess. Those who go public will always have huge support.

I don't think that you truly understand what people are saying either.

He doesn't need that type of home or as many cars as he does. He could very easily turn the money away and tell people that in lieu of seding him money, donate it to the charity of your choice.

Meditate on this scripture and then get back to us:

"It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God."

but, you don't need a car either, or a home, you could live in a shack too

you guys find it easy to apply the extreme to others, why not yourself? You enjoy a standard of living far better than the rest of the world already, and call Benny out for enjoying a better standard than you

I never said he couldn't own a home, or a car... I am talking that he doesn't need to own the home that he has or the amount of cars that he has.

He can live just like the rest of us does. He is supposed to lead by example, yet it's those that don;t have million dollar mansions, or several expensive cars that are doing a much better job of leading by example than he does.

And, you can live like the rest of the world does, you own a house that if sold, could feed a thousand african families for months

really

what gives you the right

they are obviously able to get by without the luxuries you enjoy

I don't own a home, we rent. We both have cars that take more money to repair then what they are truly worth. We don't use credit cards. If we don't have the money for it, then it doesn't get bought.

What kind of example do you think Job made? Did God require, request, or even think of having Job give his great wealth to all the poor in his country?

No, he increased his wealth.

We don't know what Job did with his wealth either. That isn't mentioned, nor do I think that the Bible needs to since that isn't what Job is about.

Africans have no money at all

The majority are happy that way. It's all that they know. It isn't until someone tells them that there is so much more and shows them how other people live that they want more than they have.

The fact remains that Benny Hinn doesn't need a mansion or as many cars as he does.

Job is what Job is. A very rich man. The story finishes with him owning mountains of wealth, as reward for faith in God

how does that work

he wasn't rewarded for giving to the poor, he was rewarded for faith

I'm not going to continue to argue with you because you seem enamored with Benny Hinn and he apparently can do no wrong in your eyes.

I pray that one day your eyes are opened and you can see him for what he truly is.
