  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

joey have you listen to the link i sent you he clearly says there are 9 off them ...you cant miss it
I did look at your link.......... I have listened to Benny Hinn all of my life. I have went to one of his crusades in Portland, Oregon, United States. My mother got healed there. I have heard Benny Hinn describe the details of each member of the trinity. Benny Hinn says He only believes in three members of the trinity. He goes on to personify each member into three parts.

Its amazing how many millions of hears there seem to be since that gift isn't really supposed to be common. Its like Ernest Angely (or however it spelled). People magically get healed and yet off stage cameras have heard them complaining they still feel the same. One guy (this was years ago) he "healed" his deafness, when he went off stage they rasied their voice at him because he couldn't really hear anything still.

I am not worried though about what people are fooled into believeing. The people that like Benny Hinn are the same ones that will be fooled by the anti-christ. They believe everything they see that they are blind to the truth. Which is why its said the truth will fall on deaf ears. I've met many christians who are just as deaf to the truth as I have atheists.

Now, as far as I know we all still go to heaven no matter our views. BUT if you fall for the Anti-Christ I have to wonder if you go to heaven still. I am doubting it.

Can't people make mistakes? Is Benny Hinn suppose to be perfect?

I don't believe prophets in the Old were operating in gifts of the spirit, the office they held was different. They were Gods prophets or judges, and they had a special authority. These offices no longer exist today, it was done after John the Baptist. In those days, God ordained the prophet and then the nation was to recognize him and put him in special authority.

So when it says false prophet, we'd be talking about something that just pertained to Israel. Someone who has authority over Israel, or to be the sole operator between us and God. We no longer need this.

Benny Hinn isn't a prophet, he's an evangelist. I don't understand how he can be called a false prophet when he doesn't really even prophesy, it's just not his ministry.

He still does it, as can every Christian.

Definition of prophet: 1. one who delivers divine messages or interprets the divine will 2. one who fortells the future; especially, an inspired predictor 3. a religious leader 4. an interpreter or spokesman for any cause 5 a mantis (the prophet according to Islam.
Benny Hinn is a prophet according to Websters Dictionary, and a false one according to the Bible. The Bible states that in the endtimes there will be many false prophets. Be careful who you listen to because God said they would fool the very elect.:prayer:

God through Benny Hinn healed my mother.
Thats great then. I am not saying he can't heal. But from everything I am taught "mass healings" don't exist anymore. To be honest I don't know what to thin enteriely when it comes to healing. I've been to many healers that come through town and I never have healed. Grant I am glad I stayed sick because it actually made a me a better person and gave me an amazing testimony.

Now mircales or prayer through healing are another thing. I had a kidney stone once that needed emergency stuff done to it hours alter. But after prayer it went away! Its very hard for me to say stuff about people like Benny Hinn. I respect what they do and respect them even if I don't agree with some stuff they do.

You know Pauluk3, I replied with the definition of prophet just an hour or so ago on Mountain of God, because I felt he didn't know what the term prophet meant. I agree with you re: Binny Hinn. A question that came up many times over the years is why don't persons with missing limbs get them back if they ask God to heal them. I guess I believe that because it is not an illness, no healing is needed. But that doesn't work if we talk about people who are blind or deaf who claim to be healed. I know it says in the scripture ask and you shall receive. I believe that God has the power to do anything. I can only assume that God makes choices based on the individual. Binny Hin, however, in my opinion takes advantage of people who really need tangible proof that God exists. Money is the root of all evil (not sure if that's scripture), and I do believe that the "power of money does indeed corrupt. I also believe that people don't have to allow it to do so. They can return it to Gods people in so many ways, but to squander and waste and lust after material gain is sin.

Saint Augustine once said that "Man's extremity is God's opportunity."

As far as I am concerned... "Man's extremity is God's big headache!"

My version of the seven churches...

1. Ephesus - Paul is said to have lost all of Asia (2 Timothy 1:15)
2. Smyrna - I have read in the history of the Roman empire that this church would go awry between persecutions.
3. Pergamos - I just don't know that much on Orthodoxy...
4. Thyatira - Extreme Catholicism - They are the only church - Closed communion
2. Sardis - Extreme Protestantism - You are going to hell if you don't bow to our interpretation of truth! John Calvin is an example of extreme Sardisean.
3. Philadelphia - Extreme Pentecostalism - You are not saved if you do not speak in tongues
4. Laodicea - Extreme Materialism

I have just read an article (Televangelist Jimmy Swaggart making a comeback with network) in which Donny Swaggert condemns other word of faith preachers saying that his mom and dad only make $300,000 - $600,000 a year.

Yikes! I hate it when Christian movements go to their extremities. I place Benny Hinn along with the Laodicean line of preachers. How can you support someone that well off?

Geesh, it's really time to get over it and stop beating the dead horse. Most people already know Benny Hinn's ministry has serious issues.

All, I can say, is I believe that people should be careful what they say about the men or women of God. I believe that only God can truly judge people and their hearts. That is why it needs to be left up to him....Everyone on earth does good and does bad..maybe all of his messages have not been on point...but I can say that I know the Hinn family personally and I can say that Pastor Benny loves God.
