Why would you say that?
On account of because someone said:
You know unbelievers who keep the commandments of God? If an unbeliever keeps the commandments (Luke 10:25-28) given unto the world by God, then he has passed from death unto life!
I guess I was just piling on.:D:sorry:

i have a fresh bold new idea.

i can easily prove where paul pointed to the cross, not law, for the already saved, to the alreay justified, reminding them not to be trying law sanctification.

but i ask u, since our theme was FAITH ALONE. Can u give us 1..1...,verse, connecting commandments, to what Christ did on the cross?

:pray:I await.

Because the cross is central to Christianity.

lets settle this.

It’s not necessary to do that in any shape or form. It's Jesus who fulfilled the law. The gentiles inherit the promises of Abraham through faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus fulfilled the blood covenant spoken of in Genesis 15 (the horror of great darkness was the cross). God turned away not because he could not look at sin but because Jesus then fulfilled the covenant. He paid our sin debt of death and separation. Then he earned the right with the Father to be our mediator, advocate and saviour. It’s something Christ earned not us. We are justified because we trust in him and he has the power to keep us (it’s agreed with the Father if you like to put it that way). That’s how it works through this process and instrument. As long as we continue we walk in that better covenant.

For awhile I was expecting to get to the Pearly Gates just to hear the question,"Did you even read the Book?" So I set out to read it from cover-to-cover 10 times just so I could say,"I read it TEN TIMES, what did I miss? (lol) I finished 7.
So I now I gotta worry about what if he says,"Did you sin?"
I know now to say, "Opinions vary, but nearly everyone agrees I was VERY FORGIVING!! "

In some ways keep the Law? What does that mean? You either keep the commandments of God, or you don't. There is no in-between.

All who keep the commandments are born of God!

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loves is born of God, and knows God. 1 John 4:7

nice try, but i proved that even keepers of law in all formes, gentiles, jews, are not holy.

now when u r going to talk about the cross?

Discipline is for those who are born of God: those who have sinned only for the moment, and not those who continue to sin.

Because David did that which was right in the eyes of the LORD, and turned not aside from any thing that he commanded him all the days of his life, save only in the matter of Uriah the Hittite. 1 Kings 15:5

lol..read rom 4!:D

I don’t know how a person could live under the law and say they are saved at the same time..

It just doesn’t add up… because… Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."

Galatians 3
10 All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written:
"Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law."
11 Clearly no one is justified before God by the law; because, "The righteous will live by faith."

total amen.:amen:

It cuts it if you repent of your sins and leave the life of sin, which happened to be the exactly what David did.:)

She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn you: go, and sin no more. John 8:11

yeah, and do u think the law ever stopped him from lusting later?

bahahahaha

However that’s not what anyone said it’s what God records in his holy word about David.

AND
John says "If any man sin, we have an advocate."
John does not say, "If any man sin or stumbles he has forfeited his advocate," the title advocate is significant.

The Bible shows us the process and instrument of how this works. Christ our advocate and great high priest is our mediator in every way. We trust Jesus because he is the one anointed and authorised by God on our behalf. Doctrine is essential but we don’t trust in a doctrine for salvation we trust in the Lord who is able to keep us against that day and present us spotless, redeemed, washed and saved.

linda is right the whole mosaic sytrem was death and condemnation, as per 2 cor 3;7-9.

now when u r going to talk about the cross?

WE DID! Thats what we are talking about all the time!
The cross is about covenant. Covenant is an agreement. Christ is our advocate under the new covenant as long as we abide in him. We don’t trust in the doctrine of justification we trust in the Justifier whom that doctrine speaks about.
Adamic covenant, Abrahamic covenant Mosaic covenant (the Law), Davidic covenant. And now the new covenant that fulfils the Mosaic covenant. The new covenant has laws written on our heart.

85% amen, but the problem is, people use the "writing on hearts", to bind people under law. Under law there is guilt, and sin arousal.

they can't because they don't believe in it's power... it's foolishness to them.

lets see if we can get a reply, to a simple question i asked, and no doubt speak for u too.

"what did the cross, have to do with commandment keeping", gal 2:21.

You were just being merciful ^_^

Its executing true judgment in so doing...

Zech 7:9 Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother:

James 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.

Mat 5:7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

In that one parable the dude that showed no mercy gotten handed over to the tormentors

I think your in pal :p

I must've missed it or something. If you do not mind, can you please show me the post where you proved that keeping the LORD's commandments does not mean a person is born of God?

Always on point Fire. I love this verse best:

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 1 Peter 4:8

Believers are not under the law,,, it is a righteous standard that our King Jesus has fulfilled for us, not a code that we have to follow.

People don’t understand that under the law means… you are not under grace.

And we will live a better life under grace than under the law… because grace enables us to live a better life.

If we are under grace the Holy Spirit is at work in us… and we grow in grace.
