In saying "male and female" Christ was specifically referring to Adam and Eve, since this statement was made in his exposition on divorce and remarriage in which he gave Adam and Eve as the founding individuals of marriage.

That is fine, as a story. But there were guys walking around on two legs, using tools and making fire for hundreds of thousands of years before that.

i wonder how they'd take it if you met those ancestors in an afterlife,and they found out you denied their very existence, let alone all the hardship they went thru to lead up to the guy who said they didnt exist. hmm

I think it depends on how you define "people" Coompletely anatomically modern humans beings have only been around about 200,000 years but human ancestors sufficiently advance to be consider people have been around much longer.
