LOL! I don't have any maternity pants, but I bought the belly band from Target. I only have one pair of pants that still zips comfortably, so I needed it already! I have a major bloat belly, it's insane. I swear when I look in the mirror I actually look pregnant already, lol.

First baby?: Yep, and very excited. :)
Boy/Girl: Don't know, and am still debating whether or not we'll find out.
Hobbies: Remi (dh) and I are kind of hippies, we live in a small town and only have one car, no cable, no dryer, no dishwasher. Our splurge is internet. ;)
I love sewing and drawing. Gardening and growing tea herbs. I play the hand-drum and generally play with Remi who plays guitar.

We're very down-to-earth people and this is a surprise pregnancy, though very happily recieved. :D

Hi everyone!

I made the mistake of watching a reality baby show this morning where I witnessed a mom giving birth. On the one hand it was very beautiful to watch but OTOH it was a reality shock to see her facial expressions :) during the latter stages of birth.

I really must knuckle down and begin my birth plan which I haven't even looked at yet!

Amen me too. I had a c-section before and so a natural labour will be a totally new experience for me.

I go for a 20 week scan on Monday where I get to meet a consultant who will be overseeing my pregnancy since I am "an older mom" (I smiled when the midwife had to delicately explain this). Apparently the docs get more jittery with moms over 40. So I guess I'll see then what he has to say.

Don't watch those! I always want to throw something at those producers and doctors. They try to portray the worst side of labour and make everything into a "life threatening emergency" *eyeroll* (half the time, the doctors cause the problems). Take it from a mama that has given birth both in hospitals and at home. It makes me absolutely despise those shows.

I was SO thankful to have my mom here today. We went to a tea at my church, and then did some shopping. Right after we got back to my house, I had to throw up. I'd been dealing with a cold and an upset stomach most of the day, so it wasn't super surprising.

While throwing up, though, my throat totally closed up. I couldn't breath at all--my nose was stuffed and my throat was closed. My mom came running to help me, and I was so glad she was there to get me through it. It was really terrifying.

Well, I'm still super stuffed up (pounding sinus headache) and sick to my stomach, but I haven't had to throw up yet today.

It's kind of funny--if this cold had come one or two weeks later, I might have actually been able to take some sort of cold medicine for it since my first trimester is just about to end. For now, I look like the little boy on the Puff's commercial before his mom gives him Puffs for his red, stinging nose, lol.

21wks and feeling baby kick around. I can't wait for April!
Amen me too! I'm nearly 21 weeks and as I'm typing this the baby is having a good old kick-a-bout by my navel ^_^.

I'm finding that I can't seem to get enough to eat recently. I'm doing my best to keep to fresh fruit between meals but I went crazy yesterday at Burger King........ it was soooooo good too (a whopper meal - yummy!). I went enormous when I had HRH 8 years ago and so I'm trying to be more watchful of giving in to my cravings this time round.
