Make that three of us.

I can't fast because of health reasons and medications I have to take, but I love to study the Bible and pray several times every day.

I'm retired, so I can do what I want to, as long as it doesn't cost money. Thankfully, nearly all of my favorite things to do are free.

I second the - HAPPY FALL!

I also love this time of year - the milder temperatures and all of the beautiful colors.
Do you get a lot of color change in Oklahoma, Tom? Here in TX we get some but obviously not stunning like some places. And while my kaykay "character" here is shown raking leave into a pile in a representation of Fall, :D it will be actually mid to late November before we see much of that scenario here. We probably get our peak foliage around Thanksgiving.

We live very close to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. It's heavily wooded and quite beautiful during the fall. Really, it's beautiful year around. I don't know when the colors will begin to change.

You just reminded me that I won't be raking nearly as many leaves this year since we lost all of our big trees in an ice storm. I think the leaves changing colors and beginning to fall has much to do with temperature change. Oklahoma is famous for not having much of a schedule on things like that. Whenever it's ready, I'm ready.

LOL Well, we have trees but thankfully, these days our lawn service takes care of them. I haven't actually had to deal with the leaves in several years. Sounds like you live close to a very beautiful area! Enjoy!

Hubby just did some major pruning of our rhododendrons ivy and other shrubs at the back yard. Now I can actually see the stone wall behind them. I can remember back to when we were trying to get the ivy started on the little hill above the wall, now it is solid as the wall itself. We don't get alot of colour change on leaves here. It is something I miss from the eastern part of Canada. Lots of maples there. We mostly get yellow and brown leaves here none of the beautiful reds oranges and yellows like in Ontario that I remember as a young girl.

I am mostly surrounded by evergreens. HUGE gi-normous evergreens. It is a bit intimidating. There are a few deciduous trees too so we have to contend with leaves. Oh ya we have a bear back. Got into garbage Friday night. My hubby just about hit him with the car on our lane. It was dark the bear is black almost invisible. Guess we have to be responsible with garbage again. Hope they go into hibernation soon. A week ago there was a little skunk hanging around my front yard eating grass bugs I think. I was quite close about 25 yards so no problem but I do smell them every now and again. It sounds like we are in the middle of nowhere but this is a city. lol. Just one close to mountains with lots of wild things and forest and stuff.

This suspension bridge is about 3 blocks from where we use to live but you get an idea about the size of the trees from this picture.

Some are at least 70 ft high I would guess. I am not good at that sort of thing though. When my nephew and his Israeli friend visited when they were about 13 his friend asked me what we did to make themgrow so big. I told him God did it with the rain. They have the same kind of trees in Israel but of course they are much much smaller. I think he thought we fertilized them or something. :)

Your home sounds beautiful, but I wouldn't have a clue how to deal with a bear in the yard. We have two very curious little dogs that would probably get eaten. This brings up a funny incident night before last. My little Hank came nose to nose with a toad and decided to give it a kiss. Let's just say that the toad squirted something that sent Hank running, snorting, and shaking his head. The toad won, but I will have to say that the toad has left the premises. :D
