Personally, it is my opinion that the the facts of Evolution 101 would be blocked by their cognitive dissonance. That is, they probably wouldn't understand theory of evolution.

However, I think one who accepts ToE as the best explanation of the biodiversity we see, would have a much tougher time listening to a children's story. Time would be better spent listening to a lecture expounding the finer literary interpretations of Peter Pan.

It is illegal to teach anything other than evolution in biology class because Darwinists have a totalitarian monopoly in our government education system. Identical to Nazi Germany.

Everyone is forced to believe in evolution from the time of their birth, through the time they can crawl, and throughout their entire education. In North Korean academic circles they call this "brainwashing."

It would be easier for me to sit through a class on creationism, because I already have. (Unless there was something new presented, which I have not seen in the last twenty years, I wouldn't even have to pay attention!)

But Creationists become threatened, fearful and hostile when confronted with the evidence for evolution, or indeed, any evidence that contradicts their supposedly "inerrant" scripture, and their atrophied and vestigially rudimentary minds usually shut down.

Depends on what you mean by "easier" Given creationism isn't taught in many places, it would be quite hard to find and then go to a place that teaches it. Evolution is taught everywhere.

Having said that, creationism is designed to be understood by 5 year olds, as such there are no real issues with anyone attending a creationist lecture. Evolution is science, and required a solid background in at least biology, and would be incomprehensible to anyone that needed wikipedia to work out what "linkage disequilibrium" was.

I went with one, because the lecture sort of things I have seen on creation are simple to understand and to me, rather funny to listen to. I expect that most creationists, however, would not understand the deeper concepts of a lecture on evolution, so they'd probably start to get overwhelmed.

However, if you're talking about a full semester-length class, then I'm not sure.

How hard is it to sit through a one-line lecture? "Goddidit". Though annoying, it's quite easy to sit through.

How hard is it for a creationist to sit through lectures on cell biology, genetics, embryology, comparative anatomy, phylogenetics, molecular biology, geology, physics, and paleontology? I would think that would be rough.

Oh come on it's obviously #2, to quote mcbain, "The stupidity it burns, the goggles do nothing!!." ahem...I usually find myself just having a massive headache from facepalming too many times every time they say or do something stupid. wouldn't be so bad, if they get rid of the PRATT's, "argumentum ad consequentiums." godwins law, quote mines, updated their information to the last decade....rechecked on a new species rather then just looking at the first and assuming it's all there is ever found....*neanderthal's, lucies species, Pakisetus...." to name a few. As bad as many of their other claims are, least stuff like the sandstone claims are a bit more original.

I voted Neither because I'm actually undecided.

Creationism tends to sadden or infuriate me, depending on my mood and the presentation. I might get myself lynched by the end of such a course...

OTOH, others may just find it funny.

From the other side, Morton's demon may protect the run of the mill creationist from evolution lectures.

OTOH, such a course may be at least as infurating/saddening (even frightening) as the other way round.

So... dunno. It's also difficult to compare, because the beliefs being challenged are so different in nature.

Option 2.

Namely:

It is illegal to teach anything other than evolution in biology class because Darwinists have a totalitarian monopoly in our government education system. Identical to Nazi Germany.

Everyone is forced to believe in evolution from the time of their birth, through the time they can crawl, and throughout their entire education. In North Korean academic circles they call this "brainwashing."
Which is why the overwhelming majority of Americans are froth-mouthed brainwashed evolutionists. Which is why churches are being closed and pastors thrown into jail for teaching creation even as we procrastinate here.

Don't make me laugh.

Also, long live Godwin's law.

You wear your stupidity like a badge, who taught you to do that and why do you think they would do that to you?

Not every one it would seem, there are a few of you here who managed to escape being educated in ToE completely.
In North Korean academic circles they call this "brainwashing."
Not only in North Korea, it's called 'brainwashing' or 'indoctrination' everywhere, it happens a great deal in the US,
as you well know.

Right because the Nazi's were all about teaching science in science class.

Damn them.

Did the Nazis teach you that only falsified Victorian Age hypotheses are scientific?

So six days is an instant?
Relatively speaking, yes.

It is also a reference to creatio ex nihilo, where matter & energy appeared instantaneously.

I think I will go with the big bang (perhaps a God caused the big bang?) and evolution on the grounds that we don't need to create something in order for that thing to create everything, that sounds like something ancient people told their children because they didn't know any better.
Why complicate things? plus I could never get my head around magic, it never made any sense to me.

Agnonaces, as an attempt to clarify a point you made earlier in this thread...

Are those who accept the theory of evolution NAZIs?
The link between evolution and Nazism has been well documented in the academic literature.

"... struggle is always a means for improving a species' health and power of resistance and, therefore, a cause of its higher evolution. If the process were different, all further evolution would cease and the opposite would occur." -- Adolf Hitler, Fuhrer, 1925

"National Socialism is nothing but applied biology." -- Rudolph Hess, Deputy Fuhrer, 1934

"National Socialism is applied biology." -- Hans Schemm, Nazi Education Minister and president of the Nazi Teacher's Association, 1935

Those who think only one hypothesis should be legally taught in biology class are like Nazis.

I hope that clarifies.
