Ok, then please, in your own words, describe the theory of evolution, the processes and mechanisms behind it, and the evidence in its favour that makes it the scientifically preferred explanation for the diversity of life.

I am honestly asking, but I don't want your opinion per se, I want you to describe evolution based on your knowledge of it. I have no intent to ridicule you, just to understand you.

I would gladly do it, but, and this may seem grade-school, I asked first. The point would be to demonstrate that I do indeed have knowledge of evolution. You claimed that you do. Care to back it up? The difference it will make is that I will accept your claims that you understand evolutionary theory.

Plus, I am not willing to go through the effort since I expect you would not respond in kind.
