Well, I'm not a teen either by CF age or calendar age. Just an interested bystander.

In addition, the poll is rather meaningless. The decision pressed upon you by "Staff" "parents" has already been made.

This decision hasn't been made. I am letting the Teen members decide it. If they don't, then we'll go with talking with staff and make a decision. It's a crap decision to make. Either way people vote to exclude friends. But that was the compromise- up to 19 ok, but then keep the ages more separate; or 18 is ok and the forum have an open area. I thought Teens should had least have the first shot of making the decision, which I know to them is the lesser of two evils.

I'm going to pitch an idea that I know will be rejected... but here it goes anyway. BTW this is my idea alone i have not talked to others about it.

Return the teen forum the way it is, but in addition to the teenage staff, lets put some adult mods to monitor it. They wont have the job of posting just making sure that some messed up 21 year old isn't trying to meet up with a 13 year old, and acting accordingly.

I understand the concern but booting people out is not going to help much... Again, sure we can go to other sections of the forum... problem is none of them are very active at this point when compared to how CFT was... and i have nothing in common with a 27 year old who is careed and married... there advice is nice but at the same time, they aren't in the same life stage as me.

To be completely blunt, this is exactly how I feel too.

Either way i vote, im gonna be kicking my mates out of teens. Either way i vote, i will be changing the way that teens is - a place where you can mess around, have a joke and then in the same instant, have an extremely good conversation.

Im getting slightly irritated here, to be honest - how many people are making these requests to have teens made the way it is, and how many of them are site supporters?

I can tell you it is not going to go back to the way it was. The age limit will be 18 or 19.

But the main decision has been made. That is the decision to exclude those who have reached the magical calendar age of 20 and above. This poll does not address that at all.

In this thread there have been a number of thoughtful suggestions made. Staff has declined to even discuss them with the interested parties. Instead, Staff has chosen to pay attention only to "Staff" "parents" and their complaints.
