Its ironic. Creationists at one point thought the world was was immutable. That it was always in its present state. however, It was scientists that deserved that the universe changes over time.

Its not science that relies on a present state universe, its creationists.
So, then hyper evolution and rapid continental movement is cool with you? Or are you talking such minor in bowl changes that you might as well forget about it?

I'm saying scientists have already discovered that the universe changed time long time ago.

They beat you to the punch, only the evidence they found goes against what creationists believe, and not in favor of.

One. The head is not where the soul resides.

siamese.jpg

So they only have one soul? Does that mean in identical twins only one has a soul? Because conjoined twins were identical twins that stopped seperating.

050219_twin2_hmed_8a.hmedium.jpg

What about parasitic twins?
A parasitic twin (also known as an asymmetrical or unequal conjoined twin) is the result of the processes that produce vanishing twins and conjoined twins, and may represent a continuum between the two. Parasitic twins occur when a twin embryo begins developing in utero, but the pair does not fully separate, and one embryo maintains dominant development at the expense of the other. Unlike conjoined twins, one ceases development during gestation and is vestigial to a mostly fully-formed, otherwise healthy individual twin. The undeveloped twin is defined as parasitic, rather than conjoined, because it is incompletely formed or wholly dependent on the body functions of the complete fetus.
The independent twin is called the autosite.

So are you saying that with conjoined twins there is only one soul? If taken to the logical conclusion that means that with identical twins, only one of them will have a soul. Do chimeric humans have two souls in one body?

Answering by way of repeated requests:
I'll be happy to answer, AV, but first, I'd like to ask for a little clarification.
It's too bad I have to clarify, isn't it?
Firstly, what is this "atheist doctrine" you speak of?
I don't know all your doctrine (beliefs), as I don't think like an atheist --- but two come to mind:

  1. Evolution
  2. There is no God
As far as I am aware, there is no common belief amongst atheists other than they lack of belief in God.
I thought 100% of atheists also embrace evolution?
There is certainly no agreement among atheists about the existence of souls.
I wouldn't know --- thus I'm asking.
Secondly, could you define "soul" for me?
Not from a Christian perspective --- I simply want to know if it is taught in any science classes as existing. If not, the definition is moot. In fact, if you would have responded, "yes" --- I was going to ask you what it is?
There are many different definitions used by different people, and I'd like to make sure I know which definition you are using.
Just the scientific one(s). However, I'm getting the impression that it is NOT taught as something that is real, and so I believe my question has been answered.
Anyway, the Bible itself says that there isn't anything that raises mankind above the animals.
Hooray for the Bible --- this has NOTHING to do with It. It is a science question.
It seems that no matter what definition you use for "soul"...
My definition for soul, in this thread, can take a hike --- you're turning the question around on me, and I'm not going to go there.

Just a simple YES or NO.

You would know, I wouldn't --- I haven't taken the classes you have.

Although the percentage most certainly will not be 100% it is true that non-believers accept Evolution much more than Theists.

In the same manner Atheists also accept the theory of gravity.
The only reason Theists single out the theory of Evolution is because it conflicts with the believes they get from a 2000 year old book.

I find this statement very hard to accept.

And how would you know, anyway --- you're an agnostic.

I find this statement very hard to accept.

I find it very hard to understand how after half a million posts on this forum you still don't know that an Atheist is simply a person who doesn't believe in the existence of a supreme being or beings. No more, no less.

The reason why so many Atheists accept Evolution is because ALL the known data from all kinds of different scientific fields supports it.

The only reason not to accept these facts is because you've grown up with already having an answer (goddidit!) and firmly believe it to be true despite what reality is showing.

What does this have to do with what we're talking about?

Let me say it again: 100% of Atheists accept Evolution.

And backing up even further --- here's my whole point:

Atheists have two doctrines that I know of:

  1. Evolution
  2. There is no God

AV1611VET, look up the definition of Atheist in ANY dictionary.

Once you do, this forum awaits your reply to inform us you've made a mistake by making the definition of Atheism appear very different than what it actually is.

100% of Christians breath oxygen. Does that mean that oxygen-breathing is Christian doctrine?

There's a lot that most atheists agree upon. That doesn't make it doctrine. Sorry :(

See how it nowhere says anything about evolution?
