Desperately need prayers :-(

I was standing at my bathroom sink brushing my teeth while getting ready for church this morning and my back was slammed with a muscle spasm that dropped me to my knees.

I had to crawl to my phone and call my sister who came over and got my muscle relaxant out of the cupboard and helped me crawl to my couch and get up on it where I am now.

Ruth (my sister) and my niece Breann got me all situated with my laptop....an ice pack....some snacks....the remote control....a book....and my phone...oh and Breann brought over her favorite quilt (that I made her) to wrap up in Anyways, I could really, really, really use some prayers. I cannot miss work and must be able to go tomorrow. I do not have the money to go to the doctor so really need the muscle relaxant and ice and stuff to work and for God to help me out here.

I could use some company too so if anybody wants to chat - just start posting and I'll try not to make any drug induced posts

This sounds exactly like what happened to my Mom when Kirk was here last month... I brought her drugs, food, laptop, etc and helped her put on one of those heat wrap things. If you don't have any of those you should get some. They seemed to help her a lot. Between the drugs and those heat wrap things she was able to get around more the next few days.

aww I've had muscle spasms in my leg before, ususally related in part to extremly high stress levels.....Very scary and unfun!!

That happened to me, oddly enough, when I was in high school of all places. I was 18 and during art class, I just sort of slumped over the table, not being able to support my upper body under my own strength - it was terribly painful. My teacher sent me to the offices where the secretary looked at me like I was nuts and then later sent me home for the rest of the day. I was humiliated/scared out of my mind. I know how you feel.

Thanks...I am feeling a bit better. I can actually walk. I'm a little stooped over and look funny but at least I'm walking

Owie! hope you are feeling even better now, I really dislike back pain/spasms, I know how that is. I had an accident a few years back, injured my back, caused serious sciatica in both my legs where I basically couldn’t even crawl for weeks. General pain stayed with me for a long time (til last year), but so glad that now it’s 100% better, which I really really feared would never ever happen. I’ve always loved being active, and I didn’t want to be stuck like that at all. All I know, this is going to be such a great year, once this winter season lets up, I’ll be all over the place again.

So prayers and blessings to you, d, may you have a restful sleep tonight and feel refreshed and better in the morning.

This is directly connected to something that happened when I was 32 (had to have a tumor removed from my spine) and has caused basically a weak spot in my back. It doesn't usually bother me but I do get these "episodes" every once in a while Just need it to stop hurting and I need to be able to go to work tomorrow.
