Depends how doctrines explains "all" and "everything". This basically go against our human and horizontal perspective on life. God is ruling
all things to work together for our good and His purpose. Everything that happens in our lives somehow fits into the plan of God.
When you look at this verse:
Proverbs 22:2
The rich and the poor have this in common, The LORD is the maker of them
all.
How do you answer to that?
Romans 11:36
For of Him and through Him and to Him are
all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen.
EVERYTHING can bring Christians out the BEST in us (See: Gen. 22:1-2, 15-18; Hebrews 11:17) OR to bring out the WORST in us (see: James 1:13-14). Bad things happen to everybody because we are living in a sinful world.
In ALL situations, good or bad, Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 9:8
"And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work."
