Oh. Ok
Btw, I have your rep message framed for posterity......
When I speak to the EOC or OOC I can understand the use of Roman Catholic Church since they see the Pope as one of the Patriarchs and all RCC under that Patriarch. But when Protestants use it there is a sense of ignorance or hate in it, not all the time but sometimes. I think it is because of the history of Protestantism where they sought from the beginning to harm people of the Catholic Church and declare Rome had no power over them. Kind of sad really, that people are still so bigotted today.
I have seen that on both sides of the isle......

What you're experiencing is RC paranoia. When I speak to the EOC or OOC I can understand the use of Roman Catholic Church since they see the Pope as one of the Patriarchs and all RCC under that Patriarch. Yepperz. It is sad huh?![]()

Catholic hatred & ignorance of Protestantism sometimes but not all the times makes anything Protestant repulsive. I think it is because of the history of Catholicism where they sought from the beginning to harm people who protested the power mongering & Gospel twisting in the Vatican. Worse yet is that people are still so bigotted today.

You blame it on Dave Hunt? When you have people like Dave Hunt out there you are going to see hate and bigotry.
You blame it on Dave Hunt?![]()
IT is called the martyr syndrome..![]()
Yeah, I can vouch for the Paranoid about Protestants phenomena from my 18yrs in the RC. It was at a zenith when John Kennedy ran for President. You think his win would've eased the paranoia some, but with all the RC arrogance fueling backlash, the reality is that it will ever be thus. I can accept it.I do not think it is paranoia. It is the reality of things is all. I can accept it.
When you have people like Dave Hunt out there you are going to see hate and bigotry. And if you listen to people like Scott Hahn who converted to Catholicism you will hear stories about preachers and teachers that will teach in error simply to make people believe the Catholic Church is worng. That means they are lying to you in case someone here did not get it (Rick I know you caught that).
So the hate and bigotry are real and not paranoia. I personally can vouch for it too from before I became and understood Catholocism.
Kinda like J. HageeBlame what? Why the open ended questions all the time? If you are digging for something then please just ask.
But I will assume to know how to answer...
Dave Hunt is full of hate and bigotry for Catholicism and that is my take on it. Because he wrote a book and people listen to his teachings then I think many will be hateful and bigotted like Dave Hunt is. Does that answer your question or maybe you were simply seeing how I would respond?
Kinda like J. Hagee

John Hagee Is Anti-Catholic
ATTENTION: John Hagee has now apologized to Catholics, and the Catholic Church, for making these anti-Catholic accusations, and has recanted them entirely...
I'm Anti-Catholic, but not Anti-Christian.
