  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Dinosaur footprints destroy flood geology.

Cool -- then there were also plenty of apes aboard the ark, counting Noah and his family.
I was thinking that exact same thing awhile ago. You really need to think faster, Nathan --- ;)

Looking for a way to deny it, no doubt.
Well, it's easy for me to deny* --- you can't though. You guys paint yourselves into a corner. In saying the apes boarded, and claiming Noah and family were apes, you also have to admit that dinosaurs were aboard.

Ain't that a shame?

* God limited the animals to two-by-two-by-four/seven; whereas all of mankind was invited.

Not particularly -- It only means something to those who think petty semantics count as theology.

Another error in the Bible -- collect them all!

Were birds on the Ark?

~pets AV~ its okay...shh...shhhhh.....its okay....

We all need attention sometimes...we all need attention.....

-------------------------------------------------------------

in scripture it says there was a dove, and a raven, for sure.....other than that, we do not know for sure.

you think dinosaurs and birds existed within a thousand years of each other;?; trust me, no, they did not. bird-like animals with beaks and feathers existed when dinos existed, but not birds as we know it.
----------------------------------------------------------------

how old are you?

-----------------------------------------------------------------

You also think the earth closely resembled pangea when the flood happened; no, this is also false.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

dinos- millions of years ago

noah - thousands of years ago.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

next class, we shall be discussing shapes and colors, and what they intrinsically mean to all of us.................................................

Second time --- were birds on the Ark?
Why are you asking us? We know there wasn't really any ark in the first place.

I describe a Satyr as:
A) A pet theory of mine.
B) Some kind of proto-dinosaur.
WEEEEEEEE! Satyrs were "Proto-dinosaurs!" Tell us... does that mean there were "proto-birds" on the ark?? Huh? Huh??

Indeed I do --- don't tell me there were no dinosaurs aboard the Ark.
Why would any one tell you that, when there wasn't an ark in the first place?

Well, it's easy for me to deny* --- you can't though. You guys paint yourselves into a corner. In saying the apes boarded, and claiming Noah and family were apes, you also have to admit that dinosaurs were aboard.

One more time..... THERE WASN"T ANY ARK! However, if hypothetically speaking there was an ark, then there could not have been any non-avian dinosaurs on it. Does that answer your question? Or do you want to discuss unicorns now?

And just why not? [Go ahead, give me a bunch of scientific nonsense in your reply, so I can pwn it. Bring up all the stuff you can, like oceans boiling, and the seaworthiness of the Ark, etc. I love shooting that stuff down.]

From what my history teacher tells me, the Chinese civilisation predated Noah. The Chinese civilisation is the world's oldest continuing civilisation. It didn't die off at any point in time which means they were unaffected by Noah's flood. Hehe. Probably they built the Great Wall to stop the flood from getting in. Hehe.

Besides, from pottery and images of the Chinese in their early civilisation, the Chinese people looked Chinese even then. No resemblance to Noah or the Jews, which means they couldn't have descended from Noah.

When we really study anything, be it history or world civilisation or science, fundamentalism does appear embarrassingly ignorant.

To true; no Jews in this history, no disrespect intended.

Again excellent evidence that Triassic sediments are NOT flood deposits, and that YECs biblical flood ideas are completely wrong.

Maybe you guys ought to keep looking before you act like you know every cubic inch of this earth's interior; and quit giving cheap, myopic reports to one another - (and us). I'd love to see you guys' expressions when your archaeological spades dig up a worldwide, correlated flood layer. That would be a Kodak Moment extraordinnaire!

So are you saying that birds and dinosaurs were of the same "kind"?

God limited the animals to two-by-two-by-four/seven; whereas all of mankind was invited.
Really? Please quote the exact Bible verse that says that all of mankind was invited. I find it amusing the literalists try to justify the destruction of nearly all of mankind including children and babies by saying how evil all of mankind was and then turn around and claim that all of mankind was invited on the ark.

Now how about getting back to the point of the thread? Do you have any explanation for dinosaur footprints in supposed flood deposits or are you just going to continue to spout apologetics and play semantic games to try distract attention from yet another failure of young earth creationism to match reality?

You find that Flood deposit first, hot-shot scientist, then we'll talk your nonsense. Until then, keep your dumb photo albums out of our theology.

Nope, no biblical flood deposits anywhere.

Bronze Age man was wrong, is that so hard for you YECs to accept, particularly as the oldest bible in the world is less than 2000 years old. That’s a coupe of thousand years after your so called magical mystical flood.

You didn't understand him - these are the deposits some YECs claim were left by the Flood.
