It is a little cool in Jersey to be going to the beach. We were having such nice spring weather, and now we had frost warnings last night. I am looking forward to springs return.

Good morning, Eagles!! We'll be getting some electrical rewiring done here today and then we'll have to start packing up and shutting down the cottage for a bit so we can travel back to Virginia for doctor appointments, business matters, etc. that await back home. I'm very at having to leave the coast, but also looking forward to being home for a few days. We plan to come back here after a few days as we'd like to spend the remainder of May and part of June here near the beach. We've made many friends here and look forward to our return.

I was so happy last week when the temps were in the upper 70's.

I know the feeling. We had snow here the other day. and also frost in some areas. I brought in some of the plants to help protect them

My peonies and hydranga's are coming up so nicely that I wanted to wrapped them in paper, but hubby said that they would be fine. They look no worse for wear this morning.

I love the ocean, and I love running on the beach in the early morning. I love watching the sun on the water, it's reflection forming a path to heaven, it seems.

Texas is just waking up...or maybe I am just waking up. In a few minutes I'll get ready to work out on my treadmill--a far cry for the beach, but I can dream, can't I?

I am not a beach person ( to sit in the sun), but I do love to walk when there are no crowds. I love the peaceful feeling.

The CF upgrade is scheduled for 05 May 2008


On Sunday 04 May 2008 evening (US eastern standard time),
CF will be shut down, where upon the technical group will migrate CF
to all new software, which includes new features, and new skins.
It is likely CF will be offline until Monday evening, or Tuesday morning.

As part of the upgrade, many features are changing,
some will be removed, and others will be greatly expanded.
In other cases, new features will be rolled out
over a period of time.
For the most part, member content should not be lost, with the exception of CF profiles.
Unfortunately, the new system is not compatible,
thus, members with widgets, videos, audio,
or other customizations in their profiles
should save a copy offline, such that when/if
such features get added back, they can reload them.
I only use the word if,
as the amount of customization is still a bit up in the air...
and profiles are vastly different.
For example, before one could have 1 photo,
and the rest would need to be coded in the html customizer.
In CF2, members get their own gallery,
which they can share publically, or just with a few friends etc.

So much happening in the last two days I have been away from CF. I am excited about the changes but suppose it will delay our context results. I enjoyed all the chit chat you all shared and nj my prayers are that the Lord will give you His peace about your MOM. I just know that God is a righteous judge and that not every person shows what is going on inside their heart especially if they come from a fairly traditional or liturgical background. I have to have faith with my dad that way. He had backslid tremendously through his life from being a son of a preacher wanting to enter ministry to being an alcoholic with major emotioal and social issues. We did see some real positive signs spiritually just before his heart attack at 72 years old and I have that assurance from the Spirit that he is with the Lord. Jan

Thank you! I have to have faith too. It's so hard when we know what our reward will be and we want that same thing for those we love. But the Lord is wonderful in the way He works, so I won't question it anymore. I will just have faith.
