CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This is what I found out about our Characters.
Yup...New system.
To create your character, go to your user control panel and click "Edit Avatar". On the next page click "Living Avatar", and you'll be taken to the new CFC area. Right now, you can get items and create your character, but the avatar won't show up in your posts, yet. The project manager for the upgrade says the in-post display will be available tomorrow morning.
Now to see if I can find out about reps.

Trying to do the right thing.
The grandbabies cried because they thought our CF pet, Sassy, was gone forever. I had to do some fast footwork hoping to find out otherwise. Apparently, there will be a bit of a delay restoring the pets, but it will happen. Whew.

I had to sign in from scratch again today. It is a bit off putting usually it remembers me for awhile just not the first time after an upgrade. I want to have my own little area where the threads I usually post in are all in one place. It was easier to stay current with folks. I am sure it is here but WHERE? I will look for the information on characters and see what I can find. Another thing I don't get is the pop up box re messages and friend requests. I am getting requests from people I have never even talked to. Jan

Also what has happened to Banked blessings I had quite a few and now there is no sign of them. If they are to be gone forever it would have been nice to know that.
