  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I have Mozilla Firefox also

I would like to have TABS within it, as does, IE 7

I do not use it very often and whilst I can use it
find IE 7 more, to my liking

dave you probably already know this but I found that if I am on CF I can go to Bookmarks and click google and open another internet link. It looks Like I loose CF but if I go back with the arrows it is there. Not as convenient as IE but at least I can do two things sort of at once. It helps when looking for scriptures or Images. Jan

I have both and use both, but I have found that when the site is unstable Mozilla Firefox is far superior. Sometimes I can't even get on using IE.

There are tabs on top of the page with Firefox, it took me a while to notice. Actually I find it easier to use in some ways.

Also, I like the spell check with Firefox. Of course the program thinks the name of the server is misspelled, which is ironic. Still it's nice to have an instant spell check of the page before I send it.

 To Firefox. I've been using it for years and love the tabbed browsing. I can log on to various sites and go between them without logging off. CF often runs with more stability in the IE format though. Sometimes I can log onto CF using IE when I cannot get on with Firefox.

:hug: to all the Eagles today.

Well young lady... It seems to work fine for me

I could, mention 'stuff' like;
available ram and pagefile size
but that
needs the hands-on
of, someone that is 'aqquainted' with such stuff

In your case,
I would suggest
that you 'follow' the clean up routines
that I have posted

and to have
only one application 'running' at any time

This, could speed-up your Visiting Experience quite a bit

I have firefox too. I don't use it too much, but the kids do and they love it. I will have to start using it more to see how well it works.
I tried to get on CF last evening and it would open for me.

I will continue to pray for you both.
I hope there will continue to be good news for you.
God Bless

A brief visit ... thank you all for your prayers. They mean such a lot. We do have one piece of good news to share - Rob is now going to referred to another hospital to a specialist who might be able to offer radiosurgery treatment on his brain tumour. We go to Cambridge tomorrow for an appointment with another specialist. Rob has to go as a private patient as he was told he wasn't eligable to have a second opinion otherwise. However, things are slowly moving forward adn we give thanks and praise to the Lord for that.

I think of you all often and miss you all a lot but circumstances prevent me from being able to use the computer much these days. Hopefully things will settle down a bit soon.

Love and blessings to you all

Oh how I would love to go to the Met someday.
We are only 16 miles from NYC and I have never been.
I think it would be so awesome to see and hear a live opera there.
Have a wonderful day.
God Bless

Val, I am sorry that you weren't feeling well yesterday. I hope today is better for you.

I just love your dress! Very Victorian. Please tell me where you found the parasol?

I had a busy weekend, and now need to catch up with the house. My husband and I saw Donizetti's "La Fille du Regiment" via a simulcast the NY Metropolitan is doing through movie theaters. It feels strange to go to a movie theater to see a live opera, but it was wonderful. The singing was awesome. I think the male lead, Juan Diego Florez may well be our next Pavarotti.

Then last night we had another opera event, this time two opera apprentices singing in a free performance through our University.

I can still hear the lovely music...

Be blessed today. I hope you all have a good day in the Lord.

Yes Jan I agree that stepping back and forth
via the ARROWS is very helpful even in IE 7

but to quickly click a tab
and to have immediate access to the page required
[repeatedly] is immensely helpful
especially,
when bringing in LINKS to pics at photobucket
or, copying emails to CF boards
where then each page sits immediately under each tab

Honestly said, it is, just what you get used-to
with some personal experience of available tools thrown-in

I am yet to learn HOW to use macros as shortcuts
:D that! will be fun and games LOL

Good morning everyone.
I hope you are all well this morning.
The sun is shining, but it is still cool again. The rain is gone for now.
Today I am a little sad and reflective. It was 4 years ago today that my mom passed away and it is still a little hard to think that she isn't here. But the Lord has helped me get past the hardest part of my grief.

Well I am off to sweep and mop floors. Get it done before the kiddos come home and get underfoot while I working on it.
Have a wonderful day today.
God Bless

Hi nj Sis'

Try not to get saddened, when, you have 'reflections' on your Mom
For so-many of your memories WILL be joyful and happy one's

Your Mom will have taught you so-much
and even, unwittingly for you both
You are, still a part of her... ie: ALL of her best parts
a LOT of her wisdom and thoughtfulness too!

Your Mom is with the Lord and one day
we too, will be there 'together'
All of us, much wiser and without the cares of this world [?]

Your love, for, her
is in the caring 'reflections' you have
as it was for her, some time ago, for, her Mom

AND.... so this LOVE
was and is passed-down through the generations
'chips' off the older block
The 'spirit' of, our Lord's Eternal Love

So 'smile' dear sister
'LOST' to-you, your Mom isn't [?]
she'll walk with you
through everything you will ever experience 'here'
This 'legacy of, Love' it is timeless

 I too have lost people I love dearly. I don't think we are ever completely reconciled, but I do know this, we will see them again someday. God is so good. Who knows everything He has in store for us, who love Him, who He calls His own?

We are so blessed.

Dave thank you so much for these kind words.
I wrote a blog and I said that she would always be a part of us. And that we would all share about her with the ones that came after her.
It is nice to have CF friends that care enough to share their thoughts.
