Ah yes, the moon dust argument. The flaw of this argument is that it originates from one single measurement that has become obsolete. The actual influx is 22,000 to 24,000 on Earth and 840 tons on the Moon.

Answers in Genesis has this as one of the arguments that should not be used by Creationists. Here is their refutation.

Some of the allegedly human tracks may be artifacts of erosion of dinosaur tracks obscuring the claw marks. There is a need for properly documented research on the tracks before we would use them to argue the coexistence of humans and dinosaurs.

Their points are accurate. Since Answers in Genesis at least tries to put on an appearance of researching a topic before refuting it, it would be wise to listen to their advise.

This is explained by the land uplifting, something that has been observed to be occuring today. In addition, a flood doesn't explain the seashells at all. Why is it that these fossils are in the same position as they grow in real life, not randomly scattered: the effects of a flood.

I once read a quote that basically said that a good troll is one that you wont even realize is a troll. many people feel that dad was one of those, as many people took his off-the-deep-end arguments seriously and debated furiously with him for a long time before people started to wonder.

This is a good point I've brought up before. Frumious said that they knew the moon dust was only inches thick when they went there in 1969; but that still doesn't cut it with me - as I'm sure the blueprints for the LEM were drawn up years earlier. (Note: according to Wikipedia, it was built in 1965.)

If you pin them down, as I have, they'll tell you that rocks "reset their date" (or some such rhetoric). At best, they'll admit that zircon went around the sun 3.57 billion times, but supposedly everything else "reset their dates" - (if I remember the story right).

I believe myself though, that portions of the earth have massive amounts of age embedded in them by God.
