I would do it and I would gently explain how a $23,000 commode is a bit extravagant and how it could, in fact, be a damaging gift if such information would get in the wrong hands (which it obviously has done). And I would suggest that he give the $23,000 to some who really could use it.

There was a women that gave her minister an envelope every Sunday with 10.00 in it, he accepted a few times, but I guess his conscious started bothering him about it, So the next time she tried to give it to him, he refused, explaining that she needed it much more then he. She got very indignant with the Pastor and said, Who are you to refuse my gift, and cut me off Gods supply by my giving? The minister thought about it, and thanked her for the gift.

That’s a good pastor, IMO. I would have said, under similar circumstances (which I have also faced), “Thank you. I know just the family who could use this.” And I would have passed it on.

Without proof then they are mere lies.

I know that nowadays innocent till proven guilty no longer exist. But please let's give these people the benefit of the doubt.

When I was accused of negelecting Cecil there were a few that stood by me the rest decided that since the accusation was made then it must be true. Today after being cleared of those charges there are still some that believes that lie.

This is the same thing happening here. An accusation was made. And some of "God's People" has decided that it is true. Where is the proof?
