Only really addressing this point, but you've actually got no real freedom of speech in a private forum, your rights to post in this forum are fully controlled by the owner of the forum.
Amen to that brother. I think people forget that just because a country allows free speech doesn't mean that a business has to permit it.

Lee, is CaDan one of your advisors? If so in what capacity. Just curious, he's been real quiet lately.

CaDan made a thread in GA asking what we would like to see from the new take-over. He is helping to shape the future.

Basically we told them to leave us alone!

God help us all if lawyers can think they can shape our future... hopefully you are mistaken :)

Have all current staff and administers done the traditional thing of tendering their resignation to the new CEO, and then letting him decide who he wants to retain or not?

The old fresh slate trick, y'know.
That would be the right thing to do, but I doubt it. Some seem to be too enamored with being "on staff."

It is always difficult for a new CEO with a different vision to decide which current senior staff members he/she would like to work with, and what new blood he/she wants to bring in.

Since terminating staff members is always difficult for a CEO in such a position, the honourable thing to do is for everyone to offer their resignation, and then let the CEO decide whether he/she wants to accept it or not.

Better to work with a CEO that you know has confidence in you, rather than one who has misgivings, and tries to accommodate people who might in fact not fit in with his/her new vision- especially if in fact some of those people end up hindering the process of change.

I hear Steve's looking to come back on staff. :D

He'd have my support. (Skripper dons flame-proof suit)

LOL! Just kidding, Steve. Saw you in the thread. ;)

Actually, I told him I'd understand if he wanted me to step down. Then he asked me and MNPhysicist to be his advisors.

I don't think it is particularly important for anyone else to answer this, as Lee has made no indication that he'd like to make sweeping changes to staff.

Same here... I was "hired" only 2 days before the CEO change was announced. I contacted my superior at the time (MNPhysicist), and stated that I would understand completely if there was no place for me, especially given my "newness". I was then asked to accept the position of Asst. Policy Manager, which obviously I did.
